This is a really surprising move in my opinion. Surely she would’ve had better offers than West Virginia. One thing to note, I know she turned down other jobs in the past because of a nepotism clause, they wouldn’t let her husband coach with her. Well, we know West Virginia isn't opposed to keeping it in the family!

Is her goal to coach in the most geographically difficult travel locations?

One thing to note, I know she turned down other jobs in the past because of a nepotism clause, they wouldn’t let her husband coach with her. But what other jobs are opening up? It's certainly a case of good things come to those who wait, but, don't wait too long.

Hmm. Now I'm wondering if I'd choose Lubbock or Morgantown if I had the choice.

Definitely sad to see her leave Wazzu. Becoming the head coach at the school she played at was a huge accomplishment for her and she took that program in the right direction. Hopefully she'll be able to turn the WVU into something better. Her leaving says a lot about the schools efforts into finding a new conference, I don't blame her for leaving especially since that huge senior class she just graduated Kind of like the football coach at Oregon State leaving that was an alum. You wake up one morning and all the sudfen you aren’t part of a power conference anymore. Wrighting is in the wall that eventually WSU and OSU won’t be able to pay coaches or have the overall budget of a power 5. If you are in a position to take your success and move back into a power conference now you need to do that. Good for her. Hope she does well there.

Hmm. Now I'm wondering if I'd choose Lubbock or Morgantown if I had the choice. Texas is just too damn hot. I couldn’t live there year round personally. I love to visit a couple weeks of the year. Every time I go in the summer to my brothers lake house it’s awesome in the summer. But it’s also the worst 7 days of running I do all year. And that waking up ultra early to try to get a few miles in. It’s like death.

Hmm. Now I'm wondering if I'd choose Lubbock or Morgantown if I had the choice. Easy, easy decision imo. WV gets a bad rap. Beautiful state. If you like the outdoors, plenty to do and see. Cheap to live. People there are extremely nice in my experience. Lubbock is Satan's butthole.

Texas Tech should’ve begged her Have you been to Lubbock? In fairness, I haven’t been to Morgantown either.

My guess is that the answer starts with a "$" and ends with a bunch of "0"s.

The people who bemoan the RPI like to say it favors those eastern teams, and WVU is going to have a lot more access to those teams than Texas Tech. Obviously you need to build the program first, but if you believe you can do that anywhere, step 2, maxing your RPI, would seem to be easier at WVU.

WVU has a really nice public rail system. (They call it the Personal Rapid Transit.) It's like being in Disneyland...sort of.
