CAL POLY after their European matches should be entering NC play much better prepared than last year.

CAL POLY after their European matches should be entering NC play much better prepared than last year. I hoping coach Walters doesn't take the NC matches lightly. Every match no matter who you are playing is "BIG" and needs a "W". Since CAL POLY has had time to play a number of matches (European trip) to shake out the bugs and decide on a solid rotation their 1st NC tournament (at home) should be well played,...and victorious.

I have a hunch that Cal Poly will be ranked by the end of the season 🤞

Congrats jake! It's always exciting when someone other than Hawaii is picked to win the conference.

jake as a UCI fan I don't even know if UCI will use a one or two setter system this year. That could be one reason it's hard for the coaches to estimate how UCI will be.
To be fair any team that makes it into the Big West tournament probably has a chance to win the Big West tournament. Right now that would include the top 7 teams. Anyway it's all about where you end up in the post-season rather than where you are picked in the pre-season. Personally if UCI is under the radar that is fine with me. This year UCI is hosting the tournament and is looking to use the home court to its advantage like Long Beach St. did last season when they hosted the tourney and made it to the finals. jake since you mentioned UCI's roster did you know UCI's Maia Niemen is the younger sister of Cal Poly alum Savannah Nieman. We stole one from you.

not really sure who the top 7 teams are.
UCSB & UCI are pretty big wild cards

CAL POLY opened the season 2-0,...and looked like they would go 3-0.
But Arkansas reversed things and took the match 3-1.
Questions for coach:
1) why Kate Slack did not play nor Amy Hiatt??? 2) of the six new recruits only Pulling received regular playing time. 3) Hurriyet did start at setter in match #1.

Has Tess Masingale earned the MB position over last year's starter Kate Slack or is Kate injured? Is Amy Hiatt down with an injury? She saw no playing time in the three matches last weekend.

POLY's road trip into Alabama,...play Auburn, FSU and Troy. Coach Walters starting to play her freshmen recruits,...Beshear, Leluge & Hurriyet. Kate Slack and Lizzy Markovska did not travel.

Miss Chole Leluge seemed to be active on offense and is efficient so far hitting .400 against some quality teams!
