With the new roster updates, my projected lineup would be: OH: McGhee OH: Murphy MB: Bibinbe MB: Davis or Andrew OPP: Sczech S: Barrett-Frazier L: Briseno DS: Keene Not sure who Keene will DS for, could be either outside or the opposite. Baylor may use Ulufatu or Crain as DS's as well. BU will have a big lineup, with everyone at the net being at least 6'2. I am most worried about passing, however. Briseno and Keene will be solid but I am not sure who will pass between McGhee and Murphy, unless both only play 3 rotations. Stowers is (would be) a major loss. Way more impactful than Carlson. As for setter - what are the chances Kreck gets the job? She certainly was a major talent coming out of HS that one would hope could take over for Carlson. I thought the job was for sure Kreck’s but now that Jackie Barrett is coming in, I’m not so sure. Kreck is super athletic and savvy, but Barrett is very experienced. Losing Stowers is a major impact, though Baylor has been playing without her since middle of last season. McGhee is stellar, but we’ll need Kendal Murphy to step up. She was a top 20 recruit out of high school and showed some good flashes last season, but has to take another step up now. |

Yeah, the Instagram bio solidified it for me. And I’m already hearing some things about a potential transfer OH to replace her. I’m still thinking it’s a medical retirement and not a transfer. |

On another note Baylor’s recruitment has seemed a bit non aggressive IMO. From my understanding it’s both? Her concussion history is no secret but there also hasn’t been a formal announcement. I think they’re going after Acevedo. |

The ‘25 class is DS dominant and it’ll be interesting to see how he manages all 3 of them, but with Briseño gone in 2025 the libero spot will be open. However, Baylor does seem to be making some big pushes in the ‘26 class. They’ll be looking to land a setter, pin hitter and a middle and are going after some big names. Hopefully they can pull a good class in. |
