King is a decent setter. She is also not bad at blocking. I am sure she will be a big part of 2024.
Given the SEC is not a strong volleyball conference, UT might not be a bad team next year.

I think UT is making moves behind the scenes and will be more than fine this coming season. They lost 10 of 22 players. So that left them with 12 and they are bring 5 in plus and I'm guessing a transfer or 2 will be in the mix.

Just because you add Texas does not mean they are automatically the best. This past year, SEC probably the worst P5 volleyball conference, easy.

Well, not to bring semantics into this, but he did say *a* top conference, not the top conference. Also, if you look at the final AVCA season rankings, the SEC was the only conference with 3 in the top 10 (I know they were the last three spots) but the ACC, PAC12, and BIG10 all had 2. Bring in Texas, as you say, and the SEC would have 4 of the final top 10. So yes, it’s not a bold statement to say the SEC is going to be a top conference next year. Only time will tell though

Sure whatever. But just for the sake of argument I’m going to consider Texas as part of the conference already…. That makes 3 out of the last 5 NCAA CHAMPIONS SEC schools. BUT yeah not a strong volleyball conference.

The others were one offs.

Pitt and Louisville would run through the SEC undefeated.

Florida was goated before injuries How close they were doesn't matter. They lost the match. You don't get style points in volleyball. 3-0, 3-1, 3-2: they all count as a mark in the WIN column. This isn't the NHL where there is categorization of wins: regulation wins, regulation + overtime wins, shootout wins, etc. You could say Auburn was one play away from beating Alabama in football this year, and they were, but they lost the game. Doesn't matter how they lost, they lost.

RPI isn't everything but as an indicator that means they are not the worst P5 conference. ncaastats.figstats.net/conf_rankings.phtmlIn the Pablo conference rankings they are 3rd and closer to 2nd place Big 12 than to 4th place Big Ten. www.richkern.com/vb/rankings/ConfRank.asp?VBYear=2023&Div=DI&week=15-Dec+18You have to look at a conference from top to bottom in assessing it's overall strength.

Is Kubik expected to get playing time? I know Tennessee lost a lot of players but idk who would be next in line for all the openings
