Wow , heard a rumor teams were adding new girls for nationals, seems Legacy 17-1’s confirmed w/ their usav roster adding Sakura Codling who’s committed to UCLA!! This is crazy if USAV allows!! I’m not sure there’s anything USAV could do. Codling hasn’t played in any qualifiers or any events that would lock her into a USAV roster. Edit: I probably jumped the gun here with the negative comments… just looked at the roster, and with Sakura there’s only 9 players. Legacy probably dealt with some injuries. I wouldn’t want to go to GJNC with only 8 players.

Not sure what the problem is. If she is not locked up on another roster then it’s legal to do. It’s no different than girls who play up on 18s, finish that season, and then come down to their age group (17s) to play at Nationals. Happens frequently.

They started with 10 but OH Layla Visser never played (I think due to injury), and their DS Ryan Dzierwa does not seem to be on the roster, so Codling makes sense as a replacement.

Campbell will be back for USAV’s correct? I know they pulled out of AAUs’ my assumption was that was because she is in Canada Norceca finals are 6/30 so it will be a quick turn around but I assume Campbell, Vander Wal, and Sigler will all be back for USAVs

I wonder if this is that roster addition that someone made a thread about the other day. Yep, as others said, no rules against it since she didn't play in any USAV events that locked her into a roster.

Still think it’s a joke, I’m sure the other ds probably quit when she found out they were bringing in another ds.

AAU 17O Final - Tribe Elite over Sports Performance 2-1

I thought Tribe and sports performance were prob best 2 teams at AAU this week. My guess was that Sports Performance would have taken Tribe but was wrong. Looking at how things played out, I felt bad for tri-state elite who had one loss and ended up in consolation bracket due to 3 way tie yesterday. Surprised Pitt Elite ended up in gold. They had the advantage in a 3 way tie in their bracket. Crazy how things play out sometimes

To be allowed to add a player from a Club that is several hundred miles away is total BS. It is not in the spirit of the rules. Codling is one of the best players in the class of 2025, she is easily one of the top 3 DS/Libero in the class of 2025. Take her off that TSE team and that team would look completely different. Legacy is going to be one of the favorites to win USAV with Codling playing Libero

remember when 1st alliance was in the 18 open finals this year with multiple last minute additions LOL I thought 1st Alliance had players within their own Club Well, it was within the club and planned ahead 😃 1st Alliance brought 2 from their 17’s and 1 from their 16’s up to 18’s because they were missing 5 off their roster (including the Illinois Gatorade POY) due to 4 for prom and 1 for injury 🤔 they knew the timing and nobody on the regular roster sat on the bench for the added players 😂 plus 3 underclassmen now have 18’s Silver Medals 🥈

I thought 1st Alliance had players within their own Club does it matter They also needed players to compete as from what I understand a few of their 18s made the decision to attend prom early in the year. It wasn't a late decision, so guessing all involved knew the scenario.
