Any word on Flexen? Noticed he didn't play in the Stanford series. Still nursing the shoulder injury from the USC game? He's a fun player to watch.

Liking this Irvine rotation with D'Arcy on the right and Grigoriev back in the middle. D'Arcy hitting 1.000 with 5 kills. No Flexen (yet?)... but a Flexen, Henno, D'Arcy pin roster brings a lot of firepower.

I read through the Big West article and it mentioned that Tread leads the Big West in aces per set. That's incredible for the 17yr old, who only recently started to jump serve. Here's the excerpt from the Big West article. "Rosenthal currently ranks first in The Big West in aces per set (.538) and is second in the league in assists per set (10.10). Both figures are good for ninth in the national rankings."

What happened to Hillr Henno? Did he forget how to serve? Yikes…never mind…LOL…just checked the stats and the guy probably lead the nation in SE with a WHOPPING 60 SEs. Dude did forget how to serve. That’s a lot of free points to give up.

Henno is not serving at the rate he was last year and Sakanoko has a wicked arm, but to be fair, the serve recieves that Henno is serving into so far this season are not equivalent to what Tread and Thiim are serving at, and most of the teams Sakanoko played against are even worse.

Yep but service errors are service errors….regardless of who is receiving. Service errors are serves into the net or out. The opponents have nothing to do with the errors. The aces…yes…..playing top notch teams will lower your ace number but 60 SE is way too much regardless of your opponents. Can and will cost team matches if he continues to get that much errors.

Stupid question: Is it illegal to block a serve?

While true about the level of competition, Tread used to use a jump float for his serve, so it's even more impressive that he recently developed a top spin serve, his placement is pretty accurate to. I give the kid credit.
