Stupid question: Is it illegal to block a serve? Not a stupid question. It is against the rules to block or spike the serve (to touch it above the net).

I think it was against USC, he went to overhead pass the ball and it went over the net and ended up on the other side of the court and he got the point(?) Correct me in I'm wrong. www.instagram.com/reel/C3G8aAuxFv_/?igsh=MTl2N21lZDh6eThsZA==

If there was an NCAA Volleyball Not Top 10, USC would be all 15 of them.

I think in order for it to be an offical attack the ball has to be contacted when it is completely 100% above the hortizontal plane that bisect the top of the net. If it is below that plane or in that plane, it is just an over pass or a free ball

Still a tragic fail by USC to not pick that up and be caught totally flat footed

And everyone was saying the outrigger looked weak when it was first scheduled. (Although in fairness, it's not rank 1, 2, and 3 this year, but 1, 3, and 5 is still one hell of a test)

Still lots of tickets available(probably 3-4 thousand)for all 3 days. Friday match against #1 is not ideal because of it falling on a work day. Many may choose not to come if traffic is bad. Saturday is reserved for the men’s basketball senior night. That took away our best day to draw well. Sunday’s afternoon match against UCI is also a tough draw. Hawaii have had trouble really bringing in folks on Sundays for years. Hope sales pick up. They ability to buy tickets online definitely helps but was hoping we would be near sellout at this point(first match is in 3 days). Maybe too much sports activities going on that fans have to pick and choose?

Even the Stanford series had very little marketing and they only announced a white-out at the last minute. Even on the Spectrum side the tv ads for the GCU game were vague and just said "Hawaii faces tough competition with GCU on Friday." Most casual fans that would fill in the rest of the seats probably don't know GCU is undefeated or #1 heading into the tournament.

Did you drive in this yet? this past Saturday night. We went to town and got stuck there around 10ish on our way back to leeward. If memory serves me right, I think the 3-lanes closure is Friday/Saturday from 9 pm till 8 am .
