Has thompson not been lighting it up on the pro scene? I don't think she's playing at the level of Vargas/Egonu/Bosko, who I understand will be USA's main threats. And it doesn't seem likely we'll make up the difference with our OH's offense. Hope I'm wrong though! some of yall are just underrating like how good the big 3 are when you like expect every team to have one and an already great player like JT to be them or bust |

Hope I'm wrong though! some of yall are just underrating like how good the big 3 are when you like expect every team to have one and an already great player like JT to be them or bust I meant the post to be less about JT and her production and more being like "well, we're not going to get a bunch of offensive production out of our OHs since we're likely to go with the passing package, so it would have to be made up from our middles and opp. We don't set our middles that much, and while JT is great she's not going to be able to make up for KRC or Larson if they're unable to find the floor." In conclusion, I'm way more sus about the KRC and Larson combo than anything else. Watching KRC-ball at VNL was painful. Great passing, no kills from the left |

when did haak drop out of the top oppos convo? or is she on the stysiak level? I’m not really sure she dropped out as much as the other 3 are just insane but I do think Vargas boskovic and Egonu are all 3 on a level above. Haak is def the next in line. I just don’t think she can do what the others can |

I just don’t think she can do what the others can she’s also just not extremely relevant to national team conversations rn in the same way my girl Britt isn’t if only Haak would’ve come to Texas and naturalized and if only Britt would’ve taken Antropova’s naturalization spot😔 |

Egonu has levels above everyone… her issue is motivation meh. no i kinda agree with this, idk if its motivation. Her top play is better than boskovic but shes nowhere near as consistent. If we are talking consistency, Haak is reliably high-mid.😀 |

Odd timing to ask this, but I've been watching some 2012 quad games, and Italy had Lucia Bosetti as opposite. Notably, she didn't pass in any of the rotations - does anybody know what that's about? From being a true opposite in the 2012 quad to becoming a ball control specialist outside in 2018?
