Odd timing to ask this, but I've been watching some 2012 quad games, and Italy had Lucia Bosetti as opposite. Notably, she didn't pass in any of the rotations - does anybody know what that's about? From being a true opposite in the 2012 quad to becoming a ball control specialist outside in 2018? Wait did she really not pass? I remember her playing OPP but I thought she passed here and there even though Del Core and Costagrande were the OHs. I don't really remember. She was so fun to watch in London.

I couldn't find any clips where she did. For instance, here's rotation 4, where it's very easy for her to pass and push out Costagrande.

With Orro heating up this season, Italy is starting to look like an even bigger factor in the Olympics this summer. I feel like it’s pretty clear that Egonu, Sylla, Orro, De Gennaro and Fahr are locks for starting (although we really haven’t seen Fahr on the national team for the past 2 years…). Who else do you imagine will start for them? How has Pietrini been in Russia? Is Danesi still at the premier level she was at 2 year ago?

Orro-Egonu Sylla-Pietrini Fahr-Danesi De Gennaro would be the logical lineup imo... Im not sure if Cate is done.. but she'll be around (more or less version of Sylla)... afaik Pietrini has been good in russia... but its also russia.

Sounds like if Vargas is absent, they (Turkey) might explore Sinead Jack (or this could just be baseless rumors lol... Alexia would make more sense)

Egonu will be back with Italy in 2024 right? She took some time away from the NT. But she is expected to return for the Olympic year?

Lets not get into a debate over semantics...for now, just answer the question, is she going to be on Italy's roster in 2024? Yes or No?

(Yes, she'll most likely be there. Can't imagine them competing without her.)

(Yes, she'll most likely be there. Can't imagine them competing without her.)Logically I agree. It would be madness for Italy to leave such a core player like Egonu off their roster. Then again...given the point you raised, I suppose its always possible "something" stops her being on the roster...
