Shoutout also to Japan's OPP Hikari Kudo and China's OH Huang Yexin who both played well but didn't get an award. Saya Nakayama played well for Japan, too bad she's 5'6 and won't be a candidate for Seniors NT. It was an enjoyable tournament all throughout. Other than Japan and China, it was enjoyable watching Chinese Taipei and Peru

VBW deleted a tweet saying that Thailand will be the WCH host (awful timezone smh)
Anyways, there should be a list of qualified countries floating around. I don’t have it tho lol

I don’t have it tho lol Timezone will be great for me If Thailand is indeed the host, Vietnam will qualify due to being 4th at Asian Championship. Here's the list of qualified countries then, per mode of qualification: host: Thailand defending Champion: Serbia top 3 per continental championship (except Thailand and Serbia): AVC - China, Japan, Vietnam CSV - Brazil, Argentina, Colombia NORCECA - Dominican Republic, USA, Canada CAVB - Kenya, Egypt, Cameroon CEV - Turkiye, Netherlands, Italy through world ranking: Poland, Germany, Belgium, Czechia, Puerto Rico, Ukraine, France, Bulgaria, Cuba, Sweden, Mexico, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Greece

can we swap cuba out for someone? they have no business being there (although maybe their ranking will finally be adjusted being in a non-north america event)
I hope Mexico can get a decent draw.... I hope their NCAA players can play (I wouldnt count on Bricio)

I don’t have it tho lol The news article is still live at volleyballworld.com. It's " subject to the guarantees of the Government of Thailand" though and " formalities from the recently elected Thai Government are expected next month, following the formation of the new cabinet". According to a Thai news site: " As for the venues to be used for the competition if Thailand is the host, it is expected that the first round will be held in 4 major provinces: Phuket, Chiang Mai, Nakhon Ratchasima and Bangkok. Then, the round of 16 will be held in only 2 provinces: Nakhon Ratchasima and Bangkok. The semi-finals and the final round will be held in Bangkok."
