It seems the 2025 World Championship knockouts will not be random (but based on seeds)
so via seeding
Thailand-Japan
USA-Turkey
Brazil-China
Italy-Poland
would be the projected draw. (this also ignores wherever Serbia lands and any upsets (viva la dominicanas)).... Japan is probably licking their lips if they avoid Serbia.

Top 2 teams from each group advances. If the top seeds win (and win their R16 match) those pairings would be the quarterfinals. (Serbia and DOM have to be ignored bc their groups are unknown.... if they land in the bottom half, thats easier for USA/Turkey) |

this draw seems problematic
basically Italy as a top seed could draw Serbia as #2 and top seed Thailand could draw Czechia as their #2

this draw seems problematic basically Italy as a top seed could draw Serbia as #2 and top seed Thailand could draw Czechia as their #2 host teams as the top seeds just need to be done with (yes i know other sports do it) but then at least make the knockout round draws randomized. |

avid 2.0 mberlanda hate to revive a dead thread, but do you remember why Fersino was left off the Olympic roster over Spirito? Seems like Fersino was the clear successor - possibly even challenging Moki.

Fersino's numbers have been insane in LVF the past two seasons. Plus she was better than great at VNL this year IIRC. |

Ngl kinda hoped USA could coup him for one of the assistant jobs, since all of the Americans talk so highly of him
