VBW deleted a tweet saying that Thailand will be the WCH host (awful timezone smh) Anyways, there should be a list of qualified countries floating around. I don’t have it tho lol The news article is still live at volleyballworld.com. It's " subject to the guarantees of the Government of Thailand" though and " formalities from the recently elected Thai Government are expected next month, following the formation of the new cabinet". According to a Thai news site: " As for the venues to be used for the competition if Thailand is the host, it is expected that the first round will be held in 4 major provinces: Phuket, Chiang Mai, Nakhon Ratchasima and Bangkok. Then, the round of 16 will be held in only 2 provinces: Nakhon Ratchasima and Bangkok. The semi-finals and the final round will be held in Bangkok." oh boy... i need to mentally prepare myself for the same shenanigans that we saw in WCH22 then

I'd love to see Anthi join Greece for WCH if possible. She's too talented not to play on the international stage more.

can we swap cuba out for someone? they have no business being there (although maybe their ranking will finally be adjusted being in a non-north america event) I hope Mexico can get a decent draw.... I hope their NCAA players can play (I wouldnt count on Bricio) ugh i remember when i took Bricio seriously. I dont even think Bricio takes Bricio seriously anymore

according to voleybolmagazin, FIVB are open to expanding the naturalized player limit to 2 at some upcoming meeting... so that would pave a path for Markova It's no wonder they want her so badly. I've never seen a player improve so much between last year of college and first year pro.. and she improved from a 3rd team all-american level. She might be the best hitter in the world right now.

even bringing in Tapia and Geraldine and they couldnt win... Speaking of Tapia, I hope she's signed in a good league. Such a promising player. If she's not in any good league, she should've just played in Japan. I think she doesn't count as a foreign player in Japan, through education (not sure). But either way, she would be an asset to some of the teams.
