Did Partain and Banesh ever make an announcement of why they didn't play this tourney?

Did Partain and Banesh ever make an announcement of why they didn't play this tourney? I was hoping that recklessly speculating that they might’ve been paid off by Trevor/Theo would do the trick, but no luck!

Treo get SVDV in the Round of 12. Let's go boysssss, send him home. best possible matchup... though I won't be watching in protest of the felon playing. How is this a good match up? Didn't this team take down Perusic and Schweiner?

Treo could have drawn one of these three teams: Qatar, convicted felon or Germany (given that they finished third in pool and they’d play a team that finished second in theirs). Given past results, I’d agree it’s the most manageable match up for them, 50/50 who could win whereas against Germany or Qatar they'd definitely be heavy underdogs. Also, I would argue that Czech didn’t have much to gain as long as they kept the score close, they were favorites to win their pool already due to their point ratio. NED3 did have a good victory against Andre/George but they also lost to NED2 in pool.

Somehow Theo and Trevor always seem get a good draw. That dutch team obviously is dangerous but also very error prone and definitely the least consistent (and least successful) out of all the remaining teams.

Looks like Poles forfeited. Vikings into the quarters

When your team has a blocker as impactful as theo, teams are going to seem like a better matchup by nature or your ability to impact their game. A lot of these teams were calling good matchups for Treo are the same teams shoving balls forcefully down Tri/Chaims throat.

Was this a blown opportunity for Treo to separate from the pack and outright claim USA2?

Was this a blown opportunity for Treo to separate from the pack and outright claim USA2? No..... They are in a very strong position... As long as they stay in front of Miles & Chase they are just fine... Miles & Chase will need to go on a run like Sponcil & Cheng did before Tokyo and hope that Trevor and Theo completely collapse... I am sure that someone will come forward with the math on it sooner than later

Boermans/De Groot destroy the Swedes.
21-11, 21-10.

the dutch played exeptionally well and everything also went in their favor. I mean Boarmans blocked that last ball still with his feet in the sand running from one side to the other lol. It'll be interesting to see if they can continue to play on that level.
It was also crazy to see how de Groot dug so many of Sorum's hits like it was nothing in the semi final. Norway is definitely on a downward curve. They didn't look convincing in any of their matches. I wonder if they can find another gear this summer in Paris.

How did Boermans get so many blocks?? Incredible. Blocking Mol etc. Must have found the most perfect timing the entire tournament. They really dominated.

just catching up on both Men's semis. Q. Are there any other quality Bigs that Wickler could possibly pair with?
*edit* now watching NOR v. NED1. Why is NOR serving de Groot. That is a fast track to a loss. That would be like serving Wickler.
