Is it now Tri/Chaim vs Schachter/Dearing in the qualifier? If so, a rematch of the recent Manhattan Beach round robin. Looks like both US teams still managed to land in the same Q bracket. Excellent draw for both They will play each other in the second round if they both win. That match would be 12 pm ET/9 am PT. Canada will be a tough matchup for Tri/Chaim though.

Tri/Chaim beat the Canadians. Chaim made some good defensive plays imo. The Canadian team definitely didn't benefit from playing a (too) complex offensive system. All their back setting and whatnot lead to more confusion and errors than anything else.
There was a discussion about a pontentially wrong call and one of the Canadians was really upset and said to the ref "are you going to pay for my flight". Kinda like Samoilov last year. I mean I get the frustration but it's not like they force anybody to fligh to Doha to play the qualifier. And there will always be calls against you in sports.

Someone should let that SUI team know that the point of this game is to keep the ball inside of the blue lines

And honestly, if it’s the call I think, his hands looks pretty rough on that one…

Does anyone have a link to see the schedule? The app isn't showing Doha for me and when I go to the website it just has live matches, and no schedule. Could be user error.

Lots of rust on these two teams. Evans getting blocked almost every point towards the end of the first. They lost a 17-12 lead but once they got back to 18 all Cri realized their true nature and handed the game back. That was an ugly first game.

Ugly finish to that game 2. Wind is pretty intense and both teams struggling with it. Will be a long flight home for the loser because this match is there to be won if either team can just string together a few consistent points.

Miles defense and Tri's blocking have been pretty great. Everything else looks like a CBVA AA

The Evandgers!!
not sure why Tri picked Chaim, Trevor Crabb steps up while Chaim seems to break under pressure
Tri had a lot of big plays that 3rd set
