I swear, every year, Coach Saline has her teams ready to go by playoff time.
This year, McKendree has been without so many players due to injury (graduate OH Kyle Wilson, OPP Nykos Xydakis who was having a breakout season, OPP Bryce Wetjen who just returned to the lineup, and now starting senior setter Tyler Poulsen) and yet they're taking a top Ohio State team (who had Pasteur) to 5 with a true freshman setting.
She never fails!

So if Ball State loses to McKendree and Loyola wins over Lewis, who gets top seed? If BSU beats Quincy at home Thursday I believe those last games won’t matter. Even with a loss to McKendree, they’d be tied at 12-4 and Ball State won the season head-to-head series 2-0. |

Lewis was so balanced - Haber 22k .364 10d, Drolsoum 21k .400 10d, Roquet 16k .324 8dig 5bl, Paula 10d , Margan 63 assists 9d.Baggs 9k 7b. What a great team effort! Ball St without Rodgers, Bucholz and Ball in the line- up. Net goes 20k .310. Hernandez 12k .346 but only plays sets 1,2 & 3. |

If Ball State can just manage a split at Lewis on Thursday/Saturday, the MIVA tourney should run through Worthen. After this crazy season in the MIVA, predictions are pretty silly to make. But looking at remaining schedules and tie-breakers, this is what my crystal ball is saying for the conference tourney seeds. 1. Ball St. 2. Loyola 3. Ohio St. 4. IPFW 5. Lewis 6. McKendree 7. Lindenwood 8. Queens 9. Quincy 4,5, & 6 could definitely go in any order, but it will be a combo of IPFW, Lewis, McKendree. Regardless, a tense first round match-up awaits preseason favorites OSU and Loyola. Yeah...This is not gonna age well. |

Updated Odds - will change based on this week. Will be interested to see how McKendree does battling all the injuries.

Two more 5-setters in the MIVA last night. OSU reverse swept McK at Covelli and it looks like Pasteur is back to a full load of activity. PFW wins sets 1 & 2 with big pushes at the end of both sets. Lewis wins sets 3 & 4 and it was looking like a reverse sweep might be a possibility, but PFW came out hot in the 5th and overcame a Lewis comeback that tied the set at 13 before PFW won 3 of the next 4 pts to win at home 16-14.
