I keep thinking there’s new commitment announcements in the main 2026 thread but it’s just discussion on the class/general recruiting talk.

I watched SCVC vs. H Skyline at Red Rock Rave this year and was very impressed with Abby Zimmerman for SCVC. She was playing as a 6-rotation OPP and her defensive skills were impressive. She picked up a lot of balls and got quite a few digs off of Skyline's big hitters. She was also the go-to hitter from multiple spots on the court and already has a solid D ball in her arsenal. Someone could be getting a steal if she's not taken by one of the top programs.

Hard to tell with Sheff. We have no way of knowing who got offers. Good get for The Huskers, but I'm really hoping Flanagan will come to Madison to play with Charlie. How many pins does Wisconsin need. I heard one of the recent commits is not happy that she had no idea another pin was going to commit? If that's the case, then she's not a fit... because she's not paying enough attention to what the coach has stated the program needs. If that's truly the case, then that sounds like someone putting their own needs above the program, so... bye.

Come 2026, Wisconsin had like only 2 pins of note - Quest and Horner. Any recruit that didn't think Wisconsin would attempt to remedy that empty cupboard asap is absolutely kidding themselves. They are going to be in for an even ruder awakening when Sheffield hits the portal through 2026 to grab the best OH transfers he can get his hands on because, IMO, relying on the class of 2026 to win national championships probably isn't going to work out very well.

I’m guessing they’re referring to Vajagic. But there’s a lot of questions regarding her

The lack of thread discipline, SMH : )
I agree. It must be tough for huskervolleyfan14 to keep getting faked out since people keep chattering over there instead of posting new commitments to help out the cause. I totally get it but it doesn't make it easy on "hvf14" to have to sift through that when wanting to update their OP. This is maybe a better thread for the commitment discussion and now that we're into the verbals, I'm not monitoring this thread for suggestions on who to add to the list of talented players to keep an eye on.

It would appear that Wisconsin and Texas are winning the early 2026 recruiting wars - no big surprise there. I am guessing that Nebraska just doesn't have the 'needs' - or they would be farther along.
Cal may be the most surprising thus far.
How good can Vanderbilt be in the SEC - say within the next 5-7 years? Based on their recruiting the last 2 years - I would say they will do very well - the school is going to pull in their share of talent.

I am guessing that Nebraska just doesn't have the 'needs' - or they would be farther along. Wasn't Nebraska already pretty young last year and had a couple good years of top recruits? They probably don't have all that much room like Wisconsin will after a senior heavy squad in 2024 and to a lesser extent, 2025.

Nebraska is likely taking three in this class so it was never going to be the first class mentioned. When two top 10 pins and a top 5 middle is a down year, I guess things are going pretty well. Takes nothing away from Wisconsin getting top players who still know they’ll have to compete for playing time.

How many pins does Wisconsin sin need. I heard one of the recent commits is not happy that she had no idea another pin was goi g to commit? Well, the only pin who has announced a commitment is Flanagan. Isn’t Kymora a pin? And now with Thompson it’ll be 3 pins for ‘26?
