Until Hawaii can find a way to get it together...this Hawaii team is #7 in the rankings and I'm being generous. They have lost 4 matches. I’m not ready to drop them below 4 or 5. I am only saying this because they scrapped out a 4 setter last night and lost in 4 tonight and was completely outplayed. This CSUN team is a bottom dweller. And it only gets much tougher from here on out. I believe by the post season they should be ready. But these bumps in the road gonna come and I gotta personally be prepared for that as a fan. Lol smh |

This is my first year watching men's volleyball, due to accidentally getting a year of ESPN+ to watch the Rainbow Wahine, but, damn, if this Hawai'i team is #7, even after tonight, the top 6 teams are really, really good! |

Hawaii lost because our middles weren’t set, but also too our passing sucked. Even the setting was sporadic. Hawaii has the talent just not working in cohesion. Too many skips and bumps in every position. Learn from this Hawaii! Big West tournament is in your backyard this year! Keep it together and do not give up! Go bows!

Problem is we as a fan base been so spoiled winning against teams like CSUN for years and easily. Tonight definitely was a bitter taste but they gonna learn from it. Impressed by CSUN. Never said die!

AVCA rankings mean jack. Hawaii needs to hope they have a favorable seed come Tournament time. If Hawaii’s unranked with one of the top two seeds in BW play, I’ll take it!

Rosenthal gotta get everyone incorporated. Nonetheless, they still can run it, they have the talent to do it. A 3 or 4 time all American? Prolly not this year . He looks frustrated |

Not enough sets, he feeds off of making great plays. Hawai’i cannot rely on inconsistent hitting, even with production, cuz it’ll end up like tonight. Rosenthal gotta get everyone incorporated. Nonetheless, they still can run it, they have the talent to do it. A 3 or 4 time all American? Prolly not this year . He looks frustrated Voss has the numbers to get another AA award. Might not be 1st Team but anything is better than nothing tbh. |

The Top 2 teams in the BWC right now are LBSU and UCI. Hawaii needs to hope they can at least split with UCSB next week. Otherwise, they could go into the BWC Tournament with 7 conference losses. Not counting on Hawaii beating UCI. Also, Charlie Wade needs to think seriously about changing Setters. Tread is not ready to be a Setter at the D! Level. Tread setting has a lot to be desired. He is all over the place with his Setting location, and who to Set.

Hawai’i is still top 4, UCI will probably jump them. Too much talent on this team, just not a good night of play tonight. Beach, UCLA, Irvine, Hawai’i, and GCU top 5.

It's not a good start to conference, but as Coach Wade said right now, it's improving and finding that mesh of players moving forward and being better come tournament time.
That aside, Wade needs to do a better job at calling time outs. For me, I never understood why a coach calls time out when the opposing team reaches 24 and you have 20 or 21. I know it's icing the server, but it also puts pressure on your team to make that one big play or set is done. At least at 23, there's less pressure of one miscue and pau. Just my thoughts on that. But Hawaii was up at 11-10 (or something) and CSUN goes on a 4 pt run and no timeout?? All the momentum now on CSUN and Hawaii never found it's footing after that.
