They had a disappointing 2023 season, so maybe that motivated them to try a new offensive style. Quite impressive that they are quick setting almost everything, even in the rain. Still an occasional miscommunication, but I'll be curious how far they can go with it. They're both a bit undersized, yet athletic, so maybe they're onto something here.

Hagen with a couple of aces to pull the US back into it at 15-16 in the first!

What on Earth has happened to Estonia? In 2022, they were posting decent results in Elites, then last year they fell of a cliff and it seems to be continuing.

Hagen with a couple of aces to pull the US back into it at 15-16 in the first! The VT post curse… They just got overpowered in the 2nd. If your team is at a big physical deficit, there has to be a corresponding skill or strategic advantage and Hagen/Logan don't have that. In game 2, they didnt play badly, but they didnt do enough to win despite their limitations.

Is there any point in Lupo/Rossi continuing? They do not play efficient Beach Volleyball.

Is there any point in Lupo/Rossi continuing? They do not play efficient Beach Volleyball. Honestly, I think they're still working out the kinks in their new quick offense system. It's really nothing like any other beach team has tried, and the young Chileans read it pretty well today. I think Lupo/Rossi just need to communicate their location better. When it works, it's beautiful to watch, but rather ugly when it doesn't. Not necessarily saying it's going to carry them back into the Elite 16, but I don't think I would give up on it just yet either.

Is there any point in Lupo/Rossi continuing? They do not play efficient Beach Volleyball. I thought they looked decent in Doha... Bummer last two qualifiers for them though. I know you need to play in any conditions but they were right there to close it out 2-0 vs chile. Check out that serve at 20-20 from Chile in set 2. Almost unbelievable how that ball moved. Set 3 Chile started back on the good side where they ended set 2 and first 5 points are something else. 3 aces from some crazy Aravena serving, a double touch called on Rossi and a transition kill to start up 5-0. Tough spot to be in but Chile really took full advantage of that head wind.

Got out of pool once at elite 16s in 2022 only when Anders and Christian forfeited a pool game right before world champs. But yeah I agree they have declined a lot. I would love to see the Bellos crush Lyneel/Bassereau. Might be hard for Bellos to follow up with the high from last week but would be nice
