Tri/Chaim playing now... so far NOR2 outplaying them. Interestingly NOR2 serving Tri mostly. I guess they'll wait to serve Chaim for when the game is on the line.
NOR2 Little has a nice serve. I like Wooly Mol's steady play, but that Little is talented.. so far.

I would love to see the Bellos crush Lyneel/Bassereau. Might be hard for Bellos to follow up with the high from last week but would be nice Honestly, I don't know those guys, they could be great people, but it it's really hard not to root against them. Lets say they are my least favourite French team, and I'm not a big fan of any of the others (the young ones may have a future, not sure).

Tri/Chaim doing some really good things, but definitely got outplayed in the 1st. Hard to see if there is much of a wind because I don't see any flags on screen but the near side is definitely the good side serving-wise. Hope this 2nd set is more competitive and they keep fighting!

Four straight losses for Bourne/Schalk against those guys. Just a terrible matchup, in addition to Cri sucking as usual

Not sure why teams dont get that Chase's line shot is what you have to stop on the option, but he gets insane mileage from it. The difference in confidence between the US teams now is remarkable.
Mudinger's coach should get any job not held already by Mike Placek

I actually feel like he does a good job of mostly just hitting to the open court.

Has there ever been a team that has switched who is blocker and defender before this Austrian team?

OK, now catching up, so I don't know how this is finishing up, but thought it worth pointing out:
USA3 10-14, set 2.
Miles on a good pass hand sets it to Heidrich, 10-15 Chase roofed by Heidrich on a good Option pass from Miles, 10-16 Miles passes into the net 10-17 Miles tries a soft line and Heidrich left hand stuffs it 10-18 Miles overpasses into a Heidrich kill. 10-19
USA3 sure trying hard to make Heidrich look like Anders.

crap, USA3 won. Per my over/under comment on forfeiting Pool winners' game, I'm thinking 67% chance I won't get to see them play again today... bet they're on the way to the hotel to kick it. In about 4 hours we'll get a shot of Miles standing at the scorer's table for a minute or two, then walking off.
I'd rather see winners' Pool games where they are giving half effort than not seeing them at all. So I'm for a rule change that a forfeit in a Pool game winners' game means a withdrawal from the tournament.

Has there ever been a team that has switched who is blocker and defender before this Austrian team? We discussed this a few months ago. McHugh/Burnett of Australia also did it.

hope they lose . Would like to see them play twice today. But given the level of competition, that is highly unlikely.
