Props to Zhang Changning. I haven't seen her play at this level for so long now. For a while, I thought I would never see her play like this again, given rumours of her retirement and being away from the court for years. I'm so happy she still got what it takes. Congrats Zhang.
As for Cai Bin, well...given how Chinese fans have torn him to shreds online for being incompetent and clueless, I guess this match he can finally answer those fans with a win. Will this be enough to avoid being fired? We'll see.

Well, part 1 is done. China beats Poland and USA loses to Japan and voila, USA is on the 3rd seed line. Japan could also do it themselves by sweeping USA
And China is qualified for the Finals now.

I am kinda worried now.

I am absolutely loving the Chinese win against Turkey.
Li Yingying and Vargas showed why they are 2 of the best scorers in the world. The Chinese middles had no time to be getting blocked or dug and China was going to Wang Yuanyuan down the stretch like the rent was past due and she was collecting. I was also nice to see Zhang Changning out there.
Vargas is amazing for Turkey and swings them out of many sticky situations. I don't know about Karakurt, girl, I'm just happy that she hasn't blown a kneecap yet with them knock knees and that messy approach.

putting Zhang Changning really helped in the passing and defense. Definitely. That's when the matched turned around.

Instead of masochistically watching the Netherlands not get beaten by Korea, I think I'll watch Sweden beat Belgium. I need myself some Haak.
