Wow what a match! Impressive performance by China. They were getting so many block touches on the 5th set which made the difference It was a great match by China. Reminiscent of the 2019 VNL week 3 match against Italy, also in Hong Kong. |

Most of Russia's players absolutely hated Brazil (not exactly sure why or what the specific roots were), but Gamova really wasn't one of them. |

Italy - Serbia 3-1
Serbia B with a couple of U19s played very well. The tactic against (the nonexistent) Italian block was to shoot high, aiming for the baseline, then letting the opponent's presumption get the point. It worked most of the time. The difference was made by errors and some phases in which Serbia "dared" less.

Accidentally awake too early for the USA match, but I am catching the beginning of Brazil versus Turkey. 1st set over, Brazil beat them 25–14. Turkey looks tired and a bit defeated so far, we’ll see what happens in the second set.
