You can't go head-to-head. That road leads to ruin (although I agree with you). I have SC #13 and AZ #17. Unfortunately using head to head results leads to funky circular reasoning. Every team has its bad nights, some teams get upset, and one simply can't judge on that basis alone. Of course when you're near the top, having a bad night probably should be more damaging in the minds of poll voters. Having seen Arizona play on a neutral site, and having heard reports of their play, I think they are overranked.

What is it with all you Volleydorks? It's a 30 odd games season for most teams. Somewhere along the line a team is going to have an off night or two and lose a match here or there. Hell, the New England Patriots only play 16 games and lose a couple each year, but everyone says they're dominating and potentially the best team of all time. The only thing that matters is how you finish the season. Hawaii.....blah,blahblah.......Washington......blah,blah,blah,......Nebraska........blah,blah,blah......Stanford......blah,blah,blah........Florida........blah,blah,blah.........

Hawaii will lose in rd 2 in the NCAAs this year. That's just stupid. You don't even know who they will play. Weren't you just using the same sort of logic in saying that Hawaii would beat "you guys team's assess in the tournament"? I guess you must know before the committee does which teams will be selected for each regions and the seedings for each team. To be equivalent it would have to be at Yale or some other New England team. It would be fun hearing you and BiK whine about how far the Wahine had to travel again though. Plus, when that happens again (since you requested it) you'll also get to whine again about the Wahine being dissed by the committee and sent on the road in the 1st and 2nd rounds when they bid to pay a bazillions dollars to host those rounds.

As for number one, let Nebraska have it. Their fans seem to enjoy it so much *S*

I agree with the sweep of Wisconsin at Madison puts PENN ST above Stanford... still not so sure how it will turn out when it comes to Louisville, Missouri, MN, WI... who has louisville played anyway to be #6?..

[ In my opinion, Cal's loss to Nevada looks much worse in light of Nevada's performance yesterday. Nevada just got beat by a much better team. Can't really blame them for that. Yet you want to blame Wisconsin and say they are overrated for losing to a much better team. Just like your volleyball team, your posts have no consistency

Wisconsin won't drop 3 spots, but they could fall 2. Teams should not be rewarded for playing in mediocre conferences. Don't drop them, but don't move them up either. At least Notre Dame and Louisville will play each other. LOL ..Ruffda, that was designed to incite, wasn't it? Going by Pablo, that means the Big West is in even bigger trouble than the WAC. They'll have NO WAY of moving up, right? I don't put a lot of stock in the one match against Nevada, but that was a demolition of a Pablo ranked #30 team. Let's not dismiss it because of the rantings of a few.

Penn State playing Hawaii the 2nd time on a LONG road trip. C'mon, IB. Be reasonable. Ruffda, not that I'm backing up any particular argument, but Hawaii was on the same road trip (distance) that Penn State was on. Hawaii and Penn State travelled to Omaha, and then to Honolulu. The "trip" shouldn't be much of an issue, but you could argue home court. Just pointing out the reasonable

My quick take for all those druids who "think" they have some magical formula....
Take all the teams ranked above Minnesota..
Would they be able to beat Nebraska at home...or on the road ..or any where? Could all those teams beat a Wisconsin at their house ....?
The Minnesota team is not the same that lost to Nebraska...and Wisconsin was extremely fortunate to beat them ...Minnesota played inexperienced players at key moments and payed the price...
Missouri ..and Louisville need to play a tougher schedual in order to deserve a top 10 ranking. Sweet 16 will be their final matches.
