Completely different topic but not long ago people were discussing whether this current class is Hawaii’s top recruiting class ever, I wonder if Tread (who was originally a part of this class) affects that discussion at all? I mean, that’s practically a complete lineup of Jr National Recruits in one single class S: Tread Rosenthal OH: Adrien Roure OH: Finn Kearney Opp: Kristian Titryski MB: Ofeck Hazan L: Matthew Wheels And this hypothetical team core would have been basically starting and playing together for 4 years. That’s some fine talent there. Every one of these players(except for Wheel) are in their respective countries NT pipeline with Ofeck already there. That is some good young talent there.

And even aside from their pure talent, the amount of time they’ll have together is huge. With the exceptions of Kearney (either redshirt or Serving Specialist) and Wheels (most likely redshirt), all of them are very likely to start this year. Tread coming in early honestly hurts them, with only having 3 years together, if he had come in this year like originally planned, 4 years with a mostly consistent lineup throughout would put these guys on another level, especially in their Jr/Sr seasons. That said I wonder how often the goal in college teams is for a team to be one class heavy. On one side, 4 years together could make a crazy difference in building a championship dynasty. On the flip side, dealing with the drop off if they all graduate at the same time has to also be a consideration.

81mph is like normal cruising speed lol At west University offramp? LOL who hasnt sped in that area? i mean yeah, everyone speeds out there ... it's all flat and straight-aways ... not excusing it of course ... doesn't make it ok, by any means. in grad school, i was pulled over speeding ... on my way to a job interview (ironically) ... it was along nimitz freeway by the airport, which was dumb, b/c cops routinely set up speed traps there. but i was running late and in a rush. it was a learning moment, for sure.

Let's be real here. There's no way a cop would send him to jail for going a smidge above 80. There had to be some other things involved. I see on Louis social media that he drives a wicked fast motorcycle. Oumuamua brought Coach Chad to my attention. I didn't know he was a police officer. I'm sure he was involved in making sure reckless driving and speeding was the slap on the wrist for whatever the real crime was.

I think the bigger question is if we can keep them for all four years, something i have to think factored into the decision to bring in Rosenthal a year early. We were blessed to be able to have Chakas for as long as we did, he could easily have gone pro after his junior year. Hazan, Roure and Titryski in particular I can see leaving early to turn pro.

This Keoni and Louis drama reminds of Season 2 of Gossip Girl where a new girl Jenny outshines an older, more experienced girl named Blair in the fashion realm. Blair gets mad and tries to discredit Jenny in front of fashion clients, but Jenny still succeeds and becomes the queen bee of the school too. Taking what Blair thought was hers. Keoni totally stole the drama from Gossip Girl it seems I heard Louis might be getting kicked off of the team himself. Interesting because if he was getting kicked off(not saying he isnt), he was there at Pā'ina on the path this past saturday before the football game with Kurt, Eleu, and Tread. If I was CW i wouldnt send him out there unless an incident took place between saturday and now

I am not ready for women's season to be over, but, unlike last year, I did get the yearly ESPN+ subscription intentionally, so I can watch the Warriors! Will be interesting to see how the transition goes! I hope I miss G Voss less than I do Igiede, due to a better blocking situation for the men (but I am very excited for Mili's future for the Wahine)!

On the flip side, dealing with the drop off if they all graduate at the same time has to also be a consideration. Add Justin Todd to that 4-year list. JT is on the USA U21 National team and has been in the USAV pipeline for years, he and Tread have known each other for a long time, since Tread lived in Austin and Justin lived in Houston. He trained with Alex Nikolov and the Italian pro team Volley Lube this summer and has aspirations to play professionally. Keep in mind coach Charlie develops a deep talented roster but also wide, meaning players can shift roles and responsibilities over time and situations. For example, Cole Hogland played Oppo/MB, Taylor Averill played as a setter and MB. Coach Wade told Finn from the beginning that he wanted him as an OH. Finn is a very good lefty with a killer serve, he'll likely play and not redshirt this year. Ofek is a great middle but also a great all-around player so he may fit as a pin as well. JT is a great pin but could also fit well as a big and powerful MB.
