I had a feeling they might move Todd to the middle! pretty sure it was koa that first mentioned it He most likely did but I must have missed it i believe. My bad. I always liked the idea of him being moved to the middle especially because dude has hops.

update from phoenix: caught the match at the middle of set 2 set 1 uh 25 gcu 18 set 2 uh 25 gcu 23 starting line-up left: roure, kearney opp: titriyski middle: nusterer, hazan setter: rosenthal lib: choy Huh. Is it just me or does that feel very starting lineup-ish. The only unexpected is Kearney, which is not impossible. Last years scrimmage team also ended up the starting 7 (with some play around with Keoni, which also continued through the season). Possible Finn adapted offensively and/or to passing faster than expected, and his serve gave him the upside he needed?

Thank you! I tell you what.....this Hawaii team is gonna be very young on the floor with what may be 3 or 4 true froshies and a Sophomore but the more they build chemistry...this team has the potential to be very good. What stood out to me was Treads setting was more consistent and Kristian at Oppo is a friggen beast man. Serve recieve was a bit shaky but that will work itself out. Plus this being the first time this group played against someone else other than themselves....I'll give them grace on that. Exciting times.

1st set Roure passing is the highlight and Kearney is holding his own but overall, the passing unit looks solid. Rosenthal looks very good. It's going to be a great year.

First of all it's nice to see men's volleyball again! π It's always so jarring for me to watch men's volleyball during or right after the women's season because the game is played so much better.
Thoughts: I like Finn on the outside. He's seemed to adjust his step close on the outside which is allowing him to swing with a little more range. His arm is fast and he was aggressive during the scrimmage. I look forward to watching his passing and how he handles that duty. Titriyski has a classic approach and arm swing which I LOVE. Another standout to me was Eleu who looks poised to build on his breakout 2024 season.
GO BOWS!

iβm looking at the sideline, did louis not make the trip? Doesn't look like he's in the video. Roure looks like he's 100% going to be a stud. I think Charlie is doing the right thing playing the young guys. Think about it, there just isn't any guarantee guys are going to stay all 4 years anymore. The money is to enticing for some. I think you play them together and go for it right from the start.

It could be disciplinary due to his speeding arrest perhaps?

Seen Kristian go down. I truly hope he heals up! Get well Kristian!!! How serious did it look!? From my perspective, it was a little hard to tell though I feel like it wasn't too bad. The scary thing is that he came down awkwardly from a jump so I'm not sure about the full force and impact but his ankle seemed to only tweak (he seemed to recoil quickly once he felt his ankle go out). I hope it wasn't a high ankle sprain (his was holding high when he fell to the floor) because those can take long af to heal. He was able to walk off completely on his own.
