UH MVB morning practices started this week! 💪
JT missed the first week of classes while training with Lube in Italy. Adrien Roure and Kristian Titryski missed two and a half weeks of classes and arrive this week after playing in the U20 European championships last week.

The warriors will carry more than 18 this upcoming season. Some walks on made the team, like Kawai Hong. Also Kainoa may not be the only one to join in late December. They have so much talent , just need to hope for an injury free season and great team chemistry. Louis looks really great btw, serve is more consistent and deadlier.
Warriors also close to getting a commit from a Worsley like setter for 2026.

Kubr is a Jr, and will still be here in 2026, so that's 4 setters if they all stay? Not as big of a deal if the 18-player limit isn't in effect yet, but that's going to be crowded if it is.

Pretty sure Kubr is just a fill in for this season and not someone Hawaii is thinking long term. If Lowe redshrits then they just need Kubr as a temporary sub for Tread. The following season Lowe will have accumulated experience and reps to be the real backup to Tread. I still wonder where we'll see JT. The clips in Italy had him as a wing, but does he have enough skills to challenge the likes of Sakanoko, Roure, and Wieter. The latter two being the ball control and Sakanoko being the bomber.

I wouldn't put it past him. JT is the tallest of the 4 of them and honestly seems like he has the highest athletic peak on top of that. Right now they're all more skilled than he is, but both the US Jr. Nat team and Italy saw his potential. I personally think he's one of the highest ceiling players on the team right alongside Tritski, Wade, and Rosenthal, just lacking the development and experience to match.

I remember watching him alongside Rodriquez at Moanalua and JT definitely showed a lot of potential. His reach and athleticism are crazy good! and I agree he's just lacking the experience part. Hopefully Charlie gives him a real shot this year especially when Sakanoko becomes error prone. You think Wade should transition to outside hitter or stay as an opposite?

Meant a 2026 recruit so first season would be in 2027. I am very high on this kid, a Worsley and Thelle hybrid , Lowe also has big upside and is 6’7 now and the 2027 class has major talent at setter interested in being Warriors. The battle at setter after Tread will be intense.

You have to include Roure , his overall game keeps improving. He will make a French Olympic team one day.

Kainoa will stay on the right for sure at 6’9 and growing he has major upside to help UH and the USA in the future. Finn will move to the left, expectation for Finn when he committed was that he would be 6’7.5-6’8 by now (like his older brother) but didn’t happen. At 6’4 his pro and usa team prospects are best on the left. He can become an all american and pro left side it will just take some time. I still maintain JT has “Bird” potential. He is big and physical, just needs to keep developing a year(or two) more as well.

Roure looked better than little Henno too

Have the youngins gain experience at VNL while the olympians rest for World Championships which start mid september. Their U18, U20, and U22 teams all won gold in their respective age categories for CEV competitions this summer too! Their depth is at its peak currently! After Ngapeth, Tille, Clevenot, Louati, and Carle the next in line would be Henno, his younger brother and Roure.
