We could care less about Nikolov tbh. People consider Roure to be the #1 overall recruit only because of his all around game. Now whether that is true or not remains to be seen. But Hawaii is stacked and will be battling for another natty this year as usual. um who is we lol. I dont like Long Beach state but this seems like a salty response for no reason. I don't think that's a salty response. Considering what Hawaii lost from last seasons team, Hawaii as a whole needs a guy that is the next Spyros. Cause face it, Louis Sakanoko isn't the best in serve receive. If Roure can be that person so be it, his all around game will give him the chance to be a starter. Anyways, Go 🌈's!

Hawai'i and LBSU in volleyball, on both sides, may always be a bit salty. I hope it becomes more nationally relevant on the women's side and stays so on the men's side!

We as in the folks on this thread. Who tf cares about Nikolov on a Hawaii thread? Good for LBSU they finally found a setter and Aidan is gone! Need not be salty with what Hawaii has on board. The point is....Nikolov and talking about him belongs on the LBSU thread and not here.

There's also the seasoned transfer Clay Wieter who could surprise us.

I personally don't mind some Nikolov talk on this thread. This season will be a fun competition between the next generation of setters, Rowan, Rosenthal, and now Nikolov. Would've been even better if Amir decided to join in on the NCAA action! lol

If he worked hard in the off-season to work on his serve receive then that would put him on the court. Completely forgot about Clay Wieter, the guy can do it all too.

France led by Roure (15K, 2 blocks, 2 aces) defeats Bulgaria 3-1 for the CEV U20 Championship.

This generation of French players are continuing their dominance. This is practically the same team that won the 2023 U19 WCH just without Seddik. Even without him they were still a force at the net. It wasn't Roure's cleanest game, but he still got the job done. Him and Henno together were the most well rounded outside hitter duo in the competition, every other team lacked another quality outside. Amir's setting isn't flashy, but consistent and deserves recognition. Bulgaria's middles were weak and nonexistent. Nikolov can't run an offense with their passing is all over the place. Kandev's became the serve target and gave the match to France. LBSU needs to take note. Hopefully Rosenthal can connect well with Titriyski. Nikolov playing opposite a la Nimir Abdel-Aziz (Netherlands). lol Roure going up against his future Hawaii teammate Titriyski.
