Gonna be extremely tough to win tomorrow night but always GO BOWS!!! Give Rosie a good diaper change, a warm bottle, a pacifier, a night light and a warm blanket and let him get a good night’s sleep, and he’ll be alright. For sure....glad to see his parents in the crowd.

Hawaii hit .330 vs .258 that UCSB hit
The Gauchos had more kills than the Warriors with a 48-42 advantage and also took way more swings with 108-88. The Warriors out dug (37-27) and out blocked (9-7) the Gauchos.
Bianchi paced his team with 24 kills while hitting .314. Ben Coordt did what he could with 11 kills on a .250 hitting percentage
Alaka'i was steady for his team with 13 kills and hitting .308.
Hawaii's left side pins did well with Chaz pouring in 5 kills hitting .250 and Keoni going 8-1-16 hitting .438. Both had 6 digs but Chaz really upped Hawaii's ball control and floor defense and even their blocking.
Kurt went 7-0-8 for a .875 hitting percentage.
Hawaii was able to stay cleaner overall with less unforced hitting errors (6) than UCSB who had 14 unforced hitting errors. They also had a better ratio at the service line going for 6 aces against 20 errors (-14) while UCSB struggled, surrendering a set's worth to Hawaii with 28 errors against just 3 aces (-25).
The setters gave their all, with Walmer dishing and trying to find kills in a depleted line up while Hawaii's freshman slowly steadied out and even scored on an ace and two kills in the important fourth set.
GO BOWS!

Costas is with the corner crew! Costas' words gave me chicken skin and encapsulates what is so special about Hawaii's men's and women's volleyball teams. They affect so many people. I was a young girl when Costas was putting together his national champion, NPOY and four-time 1st team All-American career. Of course I was inspired by Kim and Lily but I was deeply inspired by Costas as well and went on to play and coach at a level that I never thought I would because of the level of play I was privileged to see time and time again as a youngster. Inspiration goes beyond gender, race and whatever else we like to have hang ups on today. GO BOWS FOREVER.

Also people gotta remember at one time.....Thelle was benched for Shewie at setter in his freshman season. At the end of his career, Thelle became a multi-year AA and eventual NPOY. So yes its cringe but gotta believe in the process and let that boy find a way to grow through the pains. i think it was his 2nd year in 2020, then won it back on BYU game right before the plague
