I'm liking this bracket and the match-ups. I didn't need to see UCLA vs GCU again or Long Beach vs UCI again in a semifinal.

Hey all, will my episode record tomorrow early morning. If there are any questions (and if there is time remaining to record) I could ask the coaches any questions you may have. Or course, this would happen after the 3 items I have to discuss tomorrow. You can DM me if you want to remain anonymous or you can throw them on here. http://instagram.com/p/C6CaECXSHGP still want to hear about ball pressure lol, after Towrie s comment about it mattering. would like to hear a coach actually explain KPI, and understandable, lol and who they think Coach of Year which seems wide open

Ok. It's the first time I've watched the Men's selection show. Vs. the women's vb selection show it might as well have been done in someone's mom's basement using America Online for connection. Who was the NCAA hack? And I'm sorry, but like the Women's it would be much better if there was a panel who at least looked professional. The game deserves better and the NCAA knows it. They are BLATANLY pissing on NCAA MVB. Because MVB has no value to the NCAA or ESPN. Very few people watch it, and even fewer people care. The fact there is even a 20 minute "show" is much more than many of us are used to. Plenty of us probably just remember that it was a 10 second announcement on Sportscenter. The anchors would flash the bracket and say those were the teams before moving on to the next story. I am not sure of anyone else who knows the game from all angles the way Vinnie does. Come on. You think Vinnie is the foremost expert on men’s volleyball? Bracketology is Vinnie’s forte, but the problem is that a committee is doing that job, and that doesn’t leave a lot of room to insert Vinnie’s expertise. I also think it’s unfair to make a straight comparison to the women’s selection show, which has 64 teams and is much higher profile. However, the men’s tournament has a certain amount of parity and unpredictability that is different from the women’s tournament. What the selection show lacked was any serious concise discussion of team attributes, strengths, even predictions outside of selection criteria.

Any mention of how each team play (Ex: Nick Slight running a fast offense, Henno's million hitting styles, Beach blocking, Pasteur's arm, etc) ?

Yes, some, but mainly in the context of justifying the bracket/seeding. On the question of outcome, it was basically “Any of the top 6 could win”

Haven't they heard the term "styles make fights"? Could've focused on that.

Next year, the selection show panel should consist of Vinnie and Rob. And I dunnno how corn hole gets way more airtime than men's volleyball.

I think this is a well balanced bracket!
If there is one change I would make, it would be LBSU as the #1 seed but I have no qualms about UCLA getting that seed either.

I got to remember to send in my mortgage payment before I head off to the West Coast. Vinnie! Don't pay your mortgage! You're going to spend that much on everything in California! You're better off renting a car and living in the parking structure at the Walter Pyramid! Catch you soon!

Beach is probably going to win it all. they look totally dialed in and peaking at the right time. they look like a machine. they also will have home court advantage!

Rob covers that stuff in detail anyway. so no offense, I'd rather see a couple of coaches or a couple of other/best media announcers that know the sport discuss the brackets for about 10-15 minutes.

I think the Beach/Ohio State/GCU side is slightly the toughest side Irvine and UCLA can crush the ball, just their serve-receive is ?? Beach, GCU showed some big time firepower, and Beach finally took it up a notch against IRvine. and Godbold now looks 100% just in time. Same with Ohio State and Pasteur. Ohio State - GCU to me has the edge for the marque quarter-final match.
