Me, a stan: Jaeschke should start in Paris.
Me, a realist: Jaeschke should start in Paris.

I have serious concerns about this team in Paris. They have not looked good.

Why does it seem like every one of these other teams are just SMARTER than this old-man team from USA? Should be the opposite.

Me, a stan: Jaeschke should start in Paris. Me, a realist: Jaeschke should start in Paris. Except it seems his passing is the worst of the other OH's. Liability there.

Soo like are they even gonna make finals? Not sure how much one day of rest here matters in the long run but…
I’m sure USA will be fine since it was a lot of bench here, but not close to a winning effort. Russell and Anderson need to be better

I have serious concerns about this team in Paris. They have not looked good. me too. What happens like today, when Russell passing has been off(he should be substituted earlier), and Anderson is not having a good first set with Ensing substituted in but all OOS is on Tommy. Block defense is rough. What are the solutions?

I have serious concerns about this team in Paris. They have not looked good. what are the concerns? they haven't really played much together is the concern they aren't even trying to win? this scattered-shot approach to line-ups has worked last two years at UCLA then again, this isn't the NCAAs

His passing is pretty good I think? There are some overpasses, credit to Canada's serving tough.Russell's passing has been tough.

Something positive: I liked Tommy picking up the slack at the pins and going toe-to-toe with Maar. I'd like to see him get the start regularly with TJ at this point.
Not that this was unknown, but Matt, TJ and Erik make a big difference in the overall ball control for the US. I also think that Averill may be the strongest offensive middle but he does struggle to make reads and block at times.
While Canada's block didn't score many points, they had a lot of controlled blocks that basically turned US attacks into free balls. If the Canadian block didn't slow down a US attack, it funneled it right to the floor defense which was so good for Canada!
Canada's transition > USA's transition today.
