Except it seems his passing is the worst of the other OH's. Liability there. Tommy passing 50% positive? His passing is pretty good I think? There are some overpasses, credit to Canada's serving tough.Russell's passing has been tough. Russell was rough today, but my eye test seems to think Jaeschke has consistently been the worst overall.

Me, a stan: Jaeschke should start in Paris. Me, a realist: Jaeschke should start in Paris. Same here!

I have serious concerns about this team in Paris. They have not looked good. what are the concerns? they haven't really played much together is the concern they aren't even trying to win? this scattered-shot approach to line-ups has worked last two years at UCLA then again, this isn't the NCAAs Yeah why would they be trying to win? 😂 obviously just tricking everyone - saving it for Paris lol

Speraw clearly isn't trying to make the finals. If he was, he would keep the starters on the court longer and not role out the bench.
I didn't watch the match because I was traveling so I'm not sure what all went down.
This team looks streaky, at best which isn't great.
However, the team needs to peak in time for the Olympics, not now.
I'm curious what the game plan actually is here.

He's passed at 57% positive and 26% perfect this week. Defalco's at 47% pos, 21% perf, Russell's at 40% pos, 17% perf. GM's had a total of 4 passes so not really worth comparing there.

Soo like are they even gonna make finals? Not sure how much one day of rest here matters in the long run but… I’m sure USA will be fine since it was a lot of bench here, but not close to a winning effort. Russell and Anderson need to be better I think if USA goes 4-0 next week they make the finals. If they go 3-1 it's a maybe. I think I'd lean USA-Out at this point even with a 3-1 week next week to put them at 6-6 overall. If they go 2-2 or worse next week it's obviously an absolute no. If Serbia can beat Canada and/or Argentina, it helps USA's chances.

Why does it seem like every one of these other teams are just SMARTER than this old-man team from USA? Should be the opposite. Don’t tell myhouse911 that lol

But again, eye test.

Maybe I'm thinking more serve-receive. In any case, my bad I guess.

With this loss, USA drops to 5 in the world ranking.
Japan at 3. Brazil at 4. Japan and Brazil both play USA in week 3.

If reps with each other is important, then play the first squad earlier.

Jaeschke is passing 57%, 26% perfect (46 attempts) Russell is 40% pos, 17% perf (60 atts) Defalco is 47% pos, 21% perf (43 atts) Where exactly is the liability?!

It's all a SPeraw question. It looks to me like he's just experimenting. are you refering to Speraw? IMO, I just think Speraw likes experimenting, lol. Not even sure 75% of these lineups have any real purpose but to throw different players together for the sole purpose of throwing different players together.
