Ha! Yes, just wanted to have a few posts at the beginning of the thread to do some team-by-team info stuff, like returning starters, returning all-league players, links to team roster, stats, social media, etc. I've done some fairly extensive write-ups in the past, but I'll try to keep it more succinct this year so I can finish it quickly....

Looking forward to your annual write-up. One interesting thing about Omaha is that Amanda Hardt who was a very good starting freshman RS last year, moved to OH this spring and looks much improved and noticeably more athletic. Jurgensmeier has moved to Right Side where she was as a freshman.

Will be interesting to see what UND does in the next two years. They look better in '24 but their '25 recruiting class looks pretty stacked for the conference (OH starting on the U19 Canadian team at 16, very talented OH from Nebraska One who chose UND over Omaha, #1 setter in her state/class, and a few other very athletic players). Coach Tupac has them headed in the right direction with his first full-cycle class. Could be tough to beat in a couple of years.
Also, why is everyone writing off Denver/KC in '24? Were the senior losses too much?

They'll likely still be a top four team, but Omaha and South Dakota will likely be better in 2024 than they were last year. UND was a dangerous team last year and they'll probably be even more dangerous this coming season. I hope that Coach Tupac stays at UND for a long time. I am less familiar with Denver.

Great info, guys! When I do the write-ups, feel free to add any corrections or oversights by me, as I don't follow all the teams super closely. I learn by reading through team announcements, articles, stats, roster changes, etc. but that doesn't always paint a complete picture. Also great to see a number of different teams represented in comments. I feel like there have been some Omaha and Denver fans on here for a while, but USD and St Thomas are getting some more attention now. With Denver and South Dakota, the attention is mostly because of success (and individual players sometimes), with Omaha that is true, but also because Volleyball is huge in the city anyway. Seems like there are a good number of VB fans in MSP who are getting on the UST Tommie train, too! Hoping to see some more fans of NDSU, UND and SDSU commenting in here, as all 3 schools have sizable fan bases with an online presence, they just haven't followed VB specifically for a while, but I have a feeling that will change sooner or later with the improvements in W/L and great coaching those teams have had recently. So when does the season start?

Well, being top-4 last year got everyone four banners! Although I don't see something like that ever happening again. Co-champions, maybe. On KC, I agree they should still be top-4. Don't forget they have a stud Setter returning, too.

Speaking of last year's championship, The Summit League Record Book needs to make a correction.... On the first page (LINK) they show all past regular-season and tournament champions by year. The photo under that is always the current tournament champions' team photo with the championship banner. The photo is correct, showing Omaha just after winning. The caption reads:
obviously wrong on two counts: It should have said Omaha, and South Dakota has already won multiple championships. If I were a fan of Omaha, I'd be livid. Not only failing to give credit for the win, but giving credit to a bitter rival on top of that.....SMH

Just finished the "returning all-conference players" post, and completed two team info sections. Will just have to chip away at it this Summer.
Interesting trend: 4 of the top 5 finishing teams have a returning 5th-year(Covid) player that was all-conference (first team or Honorable Mention). IIRC, this is the last year for Covid 5th-year players. Looks like it should have an impact on the overall competitiveness of the league. Hopefully that translates to a higher overall RPI?
