Last year, Omaha's two Middle Blockers were 6'5 freshman Huss and Ruch. In Omaha's match vs Washington State last Sunday, neither played at the MB spot. Huss, because of an ongoing shoulder injury and Ruch because she was switched back to Outside Hitter for the entire match, a position that she played as a freshman a few years ago. Incidentally, Omaha started another 6'5" freshman at MB. Ruch played outside in place of McCormick. What happened to McCormick?

She still served and played part of the match after playing the entire matches against Houston and Wyoming. I don't think that she played in the 4th and 5th sets. There's probably a good chance that she'll be back on the front row tomorrow vs Drake.

updating the first post in this thread with standings, RPI rankings, POW and statistical category leaders each week in tables. I have to use FigStats right now, and of course any early RPI is wildly inaccurate but still fun to track it. Some of you might find the stat leaders and POW handy in one place. There are conference website links there, too.
I never finished the team summaries, of course... maybe next year LOL

Looking at the map do these teams travel mostly by Bus? Are there any plane flights?

I wish UCLA and USC played in a arena as nice and intimate as this one

Grand Forks to Denver is a 14-hour drive.
There’s both bus and plane trips in the Summit League.

I just watched the reply (I was at the other match in downtown tonight) and noticed that McCormick did not play and was not in uniform. Since Omaha is using two setters, they really need McCormick's backrow defense.

Looking at the map do these teams travel mostly by Bus? Are there any plane flights? USD charters flights sometimes, like to Denver, ORU, and sometimes Grand Forks. Usually bus, though. Same as Omaha. Often the reason for a flight is when the conference schedules two road games close together that they literally would not be able to bus between. Thanks, Summit League! Another interesting thing about the Summit map is the Interstate 29 starts in Kansas City and goes north to the Canadian border, connecting 6 of the 9 teams.... you could call it the "I-29 League", but that sucks.

I haven't been able to watch any of the games. I'm guessing the void left with Carly Gillen graduating is a bigger challenge to fill than I anticipated.
