Muag and Jaeschke started the fifth set? I’m not sure why they don’t want the starters to play this one out and he tips and get blocked, and he attacks and he gets blocked. lolll. How can fans not hate Spreaw's obsession with Garret..

poor Matt. fifth set he is the only reliable one. What is the reason bringing Garret if he can only pass without getting any attack and gets blocked and serves out? He literally sucks. Hope Tommy is OK. Aaron and TJ need to be on court, at least one of them. This is a good warm up match, for team to learn.

Well.. reverse swept.
Still trying to figure out the strategy of not going back to Russell/DeFalco. Sure maybe it’s to preserve health but that doesn’t explain why some of the other starters played the whole match. Really, not the worst way to go into the Olympics but not the best either

Really, not the worst way to go into the Olympics but not the best either I'm surprised they win the first two sets... loll. That is not expected. Good side: Team looks much better than in VNL, although it is a warm up match. Bad side: someone needs to stand out when team in trouble, not constantly erroring in fifth set. Mental Collapse at end of third set with a lot of net touches. And Poland grabs opportunity.

I’m pleased with what I saw
Top scorers included Bartosz Kurek (21 points), Kamil Semeniuk (16), Tomasz Fornal (13), and Jakub Kochanowski (12) for Poland, and Matthew Anderson (21), Aaron Russell (16), Torey DeFalco (12), and Taylor Averill (12) for the USA.
Both teams will begin their Olympic campaigns on July 27th, with Poland facing Egypt in Group B and the USA taking on Argentina in Group C.
Match result: Poland 3 – USA 2 (18-25, 23-25, 28-26, 25-22, 15-8)
Jeff, Tom, and G all played most of the 4th and all of the 5th

Soooooo... is it worth me watching the replay or nah??? Yes . The 1st three sets Kurek played welll Leon and many starters were pulled early but later reinstated. Leon really was ineffective. I think he looks beat up and worn down. Feel bad for him The USA was in control to win 3-0 but let it slip away very late in third TJ wasn’t his best this match but I’m not concerned. I wouldn’t bother with the 4th and 5th. Uninspiring play and teams were on coast mode. Our starters looked tired going into 4th which tells me how important this was to play . Max jumping and intensity and emotion cannot be replicated in practice over extended time. $10 our guys are sore….. but a good sore . So glad we played. Amazing crowd btw Poland fans are special

I don't think Leon has looked fully healthy all this year. The years of being The Man have worn him down. I'll give it a watch!

Amazing crowd btw Poland fans are special i think it is a good warmup match, for team to reflect: what did good and what was not enough. Not sure if this aged team can handle five sets physically and Tommy does have the bang on his shoulder(but he played and scored, so maybe OK?). At third set/fifth set important moments, should be less error. but overall much better than VNL .

In fourth set when he substituted in and did the backrow attack. After hugging, he did say "ow" and swing the arm. But I feel like he passed well(one error in passing in fifth set) and attack well overall. If serious, Speraw should let him rest instead of letting him play.

And not to mention they need to attack some OOS swings facing Poland's high blocking. I'm not really sure what else can be done, maybe letting Matt pass more (sorry Matt)?

Facing live serving under pressure was crucial But I’ll say we were in system far more than Poland in the first 3 sets and thats without Christenson, Anderson and TJ weren’t really going so well from the line.
