Balboa keeps the throne! Triangle was damn good, I told everyone they were gonna be good, how you gonna doubt T Demps? Good call on my part Who were the biggest winners and losers seeding wise? Who showed up overseeded, any surprises? For 16's, I think HVA underperformed the most, not sure what was going on. Championship game was between two #1 seeds in their pool, so no surprise there. And, as I said before, three #1 seeds playing in the Consolation bracket was unexpected...

You need to win tough matches, those seemed like probably two of the most likely to fall 949 was the shocker, but they had Triangle in their path anyway

Correct me if I missed one,
But through all divisions in wave 1, I counted SIX teams who were knocked out of gold because they left the gym before their pool finished and it ended in a 3 way tie
They forfeited their one game to 15 tiebreaker game to stay in gold
Either that or 6 time a team scored 15 straight points in those tiebreaker games

Same thing happened to a few teams last year.

I thought what was interesting was the fact that an undefeated team could be knocked out of gold on day 3 by a team with multiple pool play losses just because of 1 match. The winners of 16 open were down multiple match points in their crossover which would have led to a completely different tournament outcome.

That’s just how it goes sometimes, it’s not about how much you win, it’s about WHEN you win If you look at 16 Open for GJNC, 2 teams the tied for 5th ended with losing match records (4-5) And look at MB Surf 16s last year, damn near unstoppable all season but lost when it mattered most
