#23 in Pablo last year returns 5 of their 7 starters (need to replace both middles) and all I can think about is what they will look like next year when they have Jager and Vinson. Indiana has a GREAT recruiting class coming in next year.

Indiana has a GREAT recruiting class coming in next year. Yes. This is the question. Kjolhede (now at Arizona State) and Rammelberg (now signed with Columbus Fury (PVF) were two steady middles, not flashy, but they got the job done. However, in 2024, this is where the Hoosiers will struggle. Vickers played sparingly last year, but she is pretty athletic and hopefully will not get lost at the B1G speed. Who will the other middle be? Sell? Doesn't appear she made a big presence at Mizzou, and she's also playing with back braces in the pictures I've seen. We can hope the middles can keep up. If not, I hope Gary is ready to play a LOT of defense, and Maple too! Now that I think about it, bringing Maple in seems like a really good move. I'm most excited to see how Candela Alonso-Corcelles and Avery Tatum do. They BOTH really started to elevate their games last year. Anry is strong and Candela is pretty savvy, and with Haworth setting them, I think they really could surprise with their talents this year. Go Hoosiers.

I don’t think Indiana has earned an NCAA berth since 2010 and Aird has spent four years at Maryland and six years at Indiana and never coached in an NCAA match. Is this the year? How will the addition of four PAC 12 programs impact the lower half Big Ten teams?

How will the addition of four PAC 12 programs impact the lower half Big Ten teams? He has never made the NCAAs as a head coach. His 21 wins at IU last year is the most the team has won under him. I don't think he is a great coach and you're right the field will get more difficult in a jammed B1G.

And damn, just one more 5 set win, (they lost to both Minnesota and Penn State in 5), they probably would have made it. Oh well, that's why they play the matches.
I can't imagine they can move higher this year with the addition of the PAC12 teams. It seems like too much of an uphill.

I enjoyed the few matches I did watch last season.

Hey hoosierman! Here's a copied/pasted quick tutorial to embedding tweets and Instagram posts: 1. When you're drafting a post and you're in that "Create Post" workspace, click the gray button with the icon that looks like this: </>. That's the "Insert Embed" button. 2. When clicked, it will open up a box with nine icons, each one associated with twitter, instagram, facebook, etc. In this case when you want to embed a tweet you would click the one that looks like a bird, the old Twitter logo. 3. After clicking the bird, a box opens up which has a white area where you would paste the web address URL you copied from the Twitter/X post. Once you paste that address click the "Embed" button in that box and what looks like a blank Twitter post will show up in your workspace. Click the "Create Post" button like normal and your VolleyTalk post should display the original tweet.

What the heck, why won't the twitter video load? Last year I just copy and pasted into the text box. Please help? I looked in FAQs already. Just manually change the part of the url that says x.com to twitter.com I did that in your post that o quoted above and the Tweet shows up.

Interested to see how middles do this year. Ava Vickers has great potential. Was it a fever dream or did Morgan Geddes start at MB bc of injuries in a few matches last year? Maybe she finds her way back? Also interested to see who will start on the pins. Avry Tatum really grew on me last year. With another off-season of training in the books, it seems like the right side is hers to lose. On the outside, Candela Alonso Corselles might be the only lock.

8/30: Indiana d. Kennesaw State 3-0
Avry Tatum goes 16-2-18 (.778), but passing woes affect the Hoosiers as they are aced 8 times in a 3 set match. Well, I guess not that much, as the team hits over .400.
8/31: Indiana defeats Wichita State 3-2 (15-13)
Again, Avry Tatum leads the way with 17 kills hitting over .400, and Haworth finally gets on the ace board with 4.
Very poor production from the middles, which needs to be fixed asap. No sign of sophomore Ava Vickers in the middle, and for that matter, no sign of 5th year player Morgan Geddes. Though Saris is doing well offensively, (not passing well though)
Go Hoosiers
