Following is a VOLLEYBALL BRACKETOLOGY, attempting to anticipate how the tournament will be set up. First the 1-16 seeds are set forth, then who will be where during the tournament. A few things;
1. Rich Kern is utilized for Single Qualification Conferences, RKPI, which is close to RPI, and Distances for many of the teams. Great source. For the single entry conferences only current leaders are included.
2. I sent my proposed seedings to about 12 VTalkers whom I respect and trust and their suggestions are reflected in the changed ratings. Also, Nebraska and Cal messed me up big time on Saturday. Thrill of the Ville, my system couldn't seem to accept you so I will try again later.
Hawaii, Cal, Kentucky, UCLA and Notre Dame are the seeded teams that got sent traveling. Otherwise, I have used the 400 mile limit (has it gone up to 450? I couldn't find the NCAA rules on that) and tried to get 2 of the three traveling teams within that limit at each subregional site.
I invite criticism and suggestions, either on line here or via pm. I know of absolutely no way for a private party to find out who has even bid for first and second rounds. If anyone knows, please feel free to let me know in any form. This will change each week. There has been some effort to get 1 v. 32 and 16 v. 17 type match ups the second round; that will be refined further as I put some time into deciding 20-32, something we can all agree is up for grabs this year.
