I may have missed this but if MN's loss to MI could affect its seeding, how does NE's loss to Colorado affect NE's seed?

I may have missed this but if MN's loss to MI could affect its seeding, how does NE's loss to Colorado affect NE's seed? I think the Husker's without this loss would have been a lock for the #1 overall seed (if they win out) - while they didn't play any of the top Pac-10 teams (or PSU), neither did any of the top Pac-10 teams play Nebraska - so that's kind of a two way street. The loss to Colorado drops them back into or at least near the group with the next 3 or 4 teams. I still think they'll get one of the 4 #1 regional seeds, but it might not be the #1 overall seed. Had they went into next Saturday's match at home with Texas undefeated, then that match might not have had much effect on their seed. Now a loss to Texas could drop them. However, this brings up an interesting point. Do the results of next Saturday's matches get all the weight and consideration they should from the selection committee? I got the impression from the committee's announcement and comments last year that by Saturday evening, the seeding of the tournament was already done and the results of those matches really were too late to give them the full weight they probably deserved. That is a real consideration to keep in the back of your mind. It is also one more thing that could work against bubble teams that really need a Saturday night win to get them in. (I'm thinking of some teams like Baylor now.) It is probably already too late for them. I think this is a real problem with the selection process that announces their picks on a Sunday afternoon. Just not enough time for them right at the end and so they probably go mostly with what they have through Friday's matches.

Northwestern and Illinois are both in bad situations with being on the road at Penn State and Ohio State next weekend and both needing at least one win in order to even be eligible for selection into the tournament,
Michigan and Michigan State are in pretty good shape for at least one (and reasonably likely both) to be selected since their playing each other and Iowa next weekend. That would mean one of the two will likely go 2-0 and the other 1-1 in their last regular season matches.

What team on the bubble will get in from the WCC ? Will it come down to the last conference matches? I mean are they really going to take San Francisco who has not had a very tough schedule or will it be LMU who gets in? It would have to be LMU over USF or St Mary's. Especially considering Gonzaga swept USF off the court and St Mary's debacle in losing to Portland in 5.......ugh! Of course LMU was recently swept by St Mary's and USF but do have a better record in the conference overall.

When are the selections made ? They'll be announced Sunday, November 26 at 2:30 PM (EST I think) on ESPNews. My ESPNews schedule says it's going to be all "The Blitz" for about a solid 11 hours. I'm not sure when they're actually made, per se. I know in men's basketball some selections weren't final even after the official announcement. Some conference tournaments were on the day of the selection show, and the committee more or less said that Conference X would only get one bid, and that would be the conference tournament winner.

St Mary's is not eligible.
ASU must beat Arizona to be eligible.

I don't think LMU has a prayer of making it. They are like 1-8 in last nine and finished behind SMC and USF in the conference standings, better than only Portland and Gonzaga.
SMC lost to Portland this week and wasn't going to get to .500 anyway. USF was swept by Gonzaga over the weekend and tied with SMC in the conf. standings with a sub .500 league record (6-8). I dont think USF gets in based on SoS...

Tournament winners: Steve Austin LOL.... FWIW this university is named after the great Texas founder Stephen F. Austin. Not 1970's TV "The Six Million Dollar Man" Col. Steve Austin nor the WWE's "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.
