You do, obviously. This isn't about Hawai'i. It's about Nebraska Volleyball, and when I think of Nebraska volleyball, I think of Geritol. I'm not an ageist or anything but there was a lot of old folk in the stands. Wrong as to be expected. I just know why you are on here. But your ageist comment shows the intelligence you lack, much like the racist who has ethnic friends. BiK is simply misunderstood.

That's 4 kills/gm right there UCLA didn't have to worry about. Sheesh! They made it up with missed serves/bad passes.

"The crowd was the one constant on a night when Cook said Nebraska played its worst game of the year and Jordan Larson was making it dangerous to sit in the stands.
"Everyone got a souvenir," Cook joked. "Did Jordan put one in the upper deck?"

Just a couple thoughts:
I too was very impatient with the crowd in game 1. However, I experienced the same thing at the AVCA and the 2005 Regionals. They didn't get into it much until the end of each game.
Very few one handed sets tight at the net are let go....especially when the ball is brought back toward the court as opposed to straight up. I did have a problem with the call in game 3 where it was the second of Pavan's 10pt run. Holloway was also called for 3 double hits as was Busboom for two.
I thought it was interesting that many of Merriweather's kills weren't monster kills but rather she just hung in the air so long she was able to put it where the Huskers weren't. Later in the match the Huskers actually started digging up her "hard" swings. Stalls on the other hand.....she friggin pounded the ball into the ground! Very proud of her. Her leadership skills have certainly been on display all year too. She is just as much as a perfectionist as Pavan, but she smiles and is a lot more encouraging by far when it comes to her teammates.

I really like having two great players (Stalls and Pavan) who are leaders on and off the court, but lead in different manners. Pavan, the quite, confident one who leads by example, and Stalls, the one who is a more vocal leader. Contrasting styles who mesh together perfectly.

The common trait is that they are highly motivated perfectionist. One is just a bit looser than the other. I have constantly observed Stalls patting Pavan on the back giving her encouragement, etc etc. Pavan's biggest smiles are reserved for Stalls when she gets a monster kill or block.

While UCLA took the court literally dancing to the arena's piped in music, Nebraska came out with a case of the jitters.Personally I would have liked to have seen that. from OWH 12-15-06

Well, well, well...the Huskers won so now you have to take cheap shots at the people in the stands. Didn't realize there was an age limit for people to attend volleyball matches. Somebody from the NCAA forgot to tell everyone here that. Maybe you can let them know so next year in Sacramento, the crowd's age will be more to your liking.

Actually they started leaving en-mass after toward the beginning of game 3. But thanks for the mis-information....again

Many people left after it was apparent that the match was going to be exceptionally BORING!

Nebraskans are fans of good volleyball.
Which is why they left early in the Stanford/Washington match.

Wow, 9000 for a semi final is bad? Hmm, I keep thinking of the 300 at A&M last year. ETA: Sorry, I just read the paper and they said around 12,000 for the second game.
