No, but keep hanging on to them. It may become your only claim.

All that sun, however, makes you soft in the head. Before you know it, you're wearing funny shirts and going bareassed in Kailua.

There is talk about picking a highly respected school so you get a good job afterwards. I would think a diploma from any Big Ten school would get you a good job. Purdue Engineering undergraduate programs consistently rank high among their national peers. In the U.S. News & World Report survey “America’s Best Colleges 2007,” released in August 2006, Purdue’s College of Engineering tied with Carnegie Mellon University for 8th nationally among doctoral-granting universities. But if a recruit wants to be a teacher, she might want to go to Minnesota: U.S.News & World Report ranks the college fifth among all public graduate programs of education, 11th overall, in the country. US News Rankings of America's Best Colleges (2007) Ohio State 57 Purdue 64 Minnesota 67 The actual ranking of the school/dept/college at the University would be more important than the overall University ranking, I would think. Of course, 16 - 17 year olds don't always know "what they want to be when they grow up". Or it changes. And changes. And changes.

You really don't want to start down this road, do you? Sure!!!! Let's make attendance be the deciding factor in schools! Do I have to cite Hawaii's numbers? Nope, no need, since it's not in contention for her. Thanks, though.

If you want to be a teacher, you can go to just about any school. It doesn't matter.

Pavan visiting Kentucky this weekend. It will be hoops crazy down there. Will Purdue, Ohio State, and Minnesota have spies in Lexington trying to sabotage the visit?

Those would be saboteurs. Our spies are already in place.

It has to be weird going to look at a school for volleyball when March Madness is full in session!
on richkern... Filho, Ariana Date Listed: 3/12/2007 MB 6-2 Lewis Palmer Colorado Springs, CO Front Range Volleyball Club
Would she be competing for the same scholarship as Becky Pavan at Minnesota?

I'll say the same thing I said earlier: the other 3 schools supposedly in the running all have several middles on board for 2008 (and Becky could be an opposite anyhow). This should not affect her decision.
But besides all that, I am sure she is fully capable of picking the school that is right for her. If it's Minnesota, great. If it's not, best of luck to her wherever she does go.

They don't have to worry about March Madness excitment at Kentucky this year.

Lurkinabout As someone who trys to follow Cdn talent, I would love to hear to some of your thoughts regarding the top talent in Canada. I have been closely involved with the Cdn YNt team and have seen many of Canada's top talent at these tryouts, Nationals etc. Lets hear your top ten? I wish I could help you with this, but I don't know everyone to be able to give you a half decent list. I looked at the list on Volleyball Prospects and I recognize some names, but definitely not all of them.
