Does any one see Brandt coming in with more collegiate experience and possibly taking the starting position from Mafua? She did start for UCSB and see extensive playing time.

It's not how hard you hit, it's where you place the ball. Not entirely true. While "hitting it where they ain't" is going to score, a thunderous thump which is returned out of bounds into the stands or overpassed simply because the velocity (while in the wheelhouse) cut off reaction time is just as effective. IE the match point in last years final. I understand your point though. plenty of power smashes get returned while a well placed ball isn't going anywhere but the floor.

You made a full circle and started dancing with Wolfie! hehe!. You simply echoed his point. ;D

Well, actually, you'll find that pent means penned, so whatever. Well, actually, you'll find that there are certain little tricks of language one can use to avoid ambiguity. "Pent" is a past participle of "pen", "pinned" is the past participle of "pin". In common english, both present tense verbs are homonyms, but in the past tense, using "pent" instead of "penned" avoids spoken confusion between "penned up" and "pinned up". And since you were so quick to correct someone else's usage, I'm sure you're very concerned with speaking clearly and distinctly, so whatever.

My belly button lint is more exciting than everything currently on VolleyTalk, with the exception of BiK's Daikon Legs.

Ferrell must be really something...Mick Haley's wife just gushes about her! IF SHE IS SO AWESOME, WHY ISN'T SHE GOING TO U$C? Just curious......

After next season, they will need to bring in some more outsides that can pass and hit (replacing Copenhagen and Kaczor). Maybe Ferrell didn't want to go to USC.

Mick already had his recruits before Ferrell started to blossom in her game. NOw that she got so much better than before, USC already has their picks for the next two seasons. So, good thing Hawai'i has her locked.....When is the late signing period? Is it this month?...11th or so?
