To put her in the same sentence as Nnamani, a girl who was taking her college team to the highest levels as a freshman, is just silly. With all due respect to the poster, if they were not both African American, I don't think this sort of comparison would have come to mind. I have watched Jupiter play on a number of occasions. She has excellent athletic talent but is extremely young as a volleyball player. She makes a lot of errors. While she has hops, it is not Ogonna-like. Alex can pass, Ogonna can't........Alex plays all-around, Ogonna doesn't. No more comments.........Thanks!

I saw Alex Jupiter play at JO's this year just wandering around the Convention Center. 1) Pretty good hops, but very erratic as mentioned before. Not a lot of variety to her hitting. I watched a few balls sprayed cross-court at the 10 ft. line. She hits hard, nothing else in her arsenal yet. 2) She passed well on serve receive, but on defense looked shaky. Nnamani wasn't exactly a polished gem when she was in high school, but you could see the potential. And she never was a good passer. Jupiter has the physical attributes to be every bit as good. Thank You!....My point exactly.....

Do we all know for sure Alex Jupiter spells her name "Alex" (vs. "Alix")? Given the tendency of the members of this forum to mangle names and dispense with spelling conventions, I have to wonder.

I think that she has narrowed down her choices to USC, Long Beach State, and Hawaii. No one has really talked about her because she does not play in a good club team and she is under the radar. But damn this girl can play. She is already a great all around player, can pass and block and she hits a very heavy ball. She ought to consider Nebraska. They have a great beach volleyball program In spring, when the snow melts.

Nope I'm pretty sure it's Alex.....I googled it. Hey Wolfy, you happen to know if Hawai'i is in the running for this girl?....

I'm leaning toward the belief that Alex Jupiter is a fictional character in this VT movie. If she is indeed real, then it's safe to say I'm the last person you should be asking about this girl. To this day, I believe Tabi Love is a made-up name. I mean, what kind of name is "Tabi Love"?

if we can't get her, than Shoji should start looking at her former partner, the 6-foot-3, fifteen year old Falyn Fonoimoana, who may still be growing.

well then, I hope she grows the other way. hehe That's not nice!!!!...... Alex Jupiter will be perfect for the Wahine!!......I think. But Tabi Love will also be a good addition. Just imagine, Kanani Herring, Alex Jupiter, Tabi Love.......Now that's National Championship material.

Word is she is going pro -- directly to the beach -- and bypassing college all together. In fact, I think she has already accepted professional winnings making her ineligible for any scholarship...which is fine because her mother doesn't want her going to college.

I think her academics take care of that.

Well I think her mother is wrong about not sending her to college. But hey, that's her mother. So, when her beach volleyball career is over and she gets warn-out and old, then what? .......
