I think that she has narrowed down her choices to USC, Long Beach State, and Hawaii. No one has really talked about her because she does not play in a good club team and she is under the radar. But damn this girl can play. She is already a great all around player, can pass and block and she hits a very heavy ball. She ought to consider Nebraska. They have a great beach volleyball program That's true, she fits the mold of a Jennifer Saleamua-type player.

To put her in the same sentence as Nnamani, a girl who was taking her college team to the highest levels as a freshman, is just silly. With all due respect to the poster, if they were not both African American, I don't think this sort of comparison would have come to mind. I have watched Jupiter play on a number of occasions. She has excellent athletic talent but is extremely young as a volleyball player. She makes a lot of errors. While she has hops, it is not Ogonna-like. Alex can pass, Ogonna can't........Alex plays all-around, Ogonna doesn't. No more comments.........Thanks! Ogonna had the grades to go to college, does she?

Word is she is going pro -- directly to the beach -- and bypassing college all together. In fact, I think she has already accepted professional winnings making her ineligible for any scholarship...which is fine because her mother doesn't want her going to college. I think that Alex is misguided and her mother is the one who should know better!

To put her in the same sentence as Nnamani, a girl who was taking her college team to the highest levels as a freshman, is just silly. This girl has it all, compared to Nnamani out of high school, Jupiter is way ahead, a complete player. To put her and Nnamani in the same sentence is not even close, Jupiter has way more potential than Nnamani. Yes, she makes a lot of lot of mistakes, but then no one is perfect. I would agree with you if Nnamani was a complete player, but she never was and she never will.

What kind of mother does NOT want her daughter going to college?

A little tired of the ripping of Oganna Nnamani. Looking back at the NCAA's a few years ago,k when Stanford won, you see that after averaging "only" 6 kills a game for the first two rounds Oganna averaged 9 a game for the final four rounds, against Texas, Wisconsin, Washington and Minnesota. She may not pass that well, but come on. Everybody in the gym knew where the ball was going and they still couldn't stop her. She also had 10 blocks over the same four matches, and seven in the first two. Not bad for a left. A player would have to be very good to get anywhere close to those numbers over that long a stretch. I'll take 9 kills a game over a good "all around" player anytime.

Ogonna is just like what you said a killing and drilling machine, but only in College ball. I've read on here that we need more and more complete players for the national team. As of right now, I could only think of 2 complete players that can do it all, and someone correct me if I'm wrong. Logan Tom and Kerri Walsh.......There's some players probably close to them as far as being a complete volleyball player! but not quite.....Serving, Passing, Defense, Blocking, Hitting, etc........ You can disagree with me if you want but that's what I think. And I'm talking about NOW! and not THEN!............ Alex Jupiter is one hell of a beach player along with Falyn Fonoimoana, now just imagine her playing indoors.....Sure hope she pursues a college education before doin her passion first.

Earlier this year it looked like Jupiter was all set to commit to the wahine but she changed her mind. Jordan Haverly had Hawaii as her top choice but she changed her mind as well. This could have been the wahine's best class in years, oh well.
Still hoping Jupiter becomes a wahine, she reminds me of Tee Williams.

Wasn't Ogonna a good passer at the club and high school level?

So who is she looking at?.....Jupiter....And did Jordan Haverly commit yet?......Why did she change her mind about Hawai'i.....? If that's the case with all these good recruits not coming to Hawai'i, then Dave needs to go International!.....Brazilians, like Veronica Lima, Cubans, Dominicans, Chinese, Croatians, Russians, Puerto Rico, Italy......I'm sure very good international players would love to come to the islands........
