N-C-A-A Volleyball. Stan Sheriff Center The University of Hawaii hosts Idaho tonight at 10pm PDT. Both teams are struggling a bit, looking for the right combinations and a way to use their athleticism. Idaho is athletic you ask? Very much so, although, I'm not sure they have 10-players touching over 10-feet. So, who do you watch for Idaho? Haley Larson. 3rd nationally in kills per game at 5.52 kpg. She is the reigning WAC Player of the Week and I think she's fun to watch. Who compliments her? Anna McKinney Anna's averaging 1.2 bpg, and nearly 3 kills at a .336 clip. She's a sophomore MB from Federal Way and I understand she has a solid future. Sarah Loney also is a dynamo on the court. I expected a little more from her this season, but I think Idaho is still coming into their own and Loney will help shore up the line. Kelsey James is the setter. I'm not really familiar with her yet, can't wait to see her play soon. We'll see how Idaho handles the arena, the pressure, the tv, and the fans in the Stanley. I personally hope they really push Hawaii and find a way to come out very confident for the October 13th matchup in Moscow. Let's go Hawai'Idaho!!!

This is the game that tears IB apart. There will be turbulence at home, it's a tradition. But everything's blissfull again the next day. Hopefully. ;D

Even with all of Hawaii's problems, they should be ashamed of themselves if they can't convincingly sweep Idaho. note: Modifications duly noted.

As I recall- Hawaii would tend to play down to their opponent's level last season.
I hope they find the resolve to play at their best- from beginning to end, no matter which opponent.

BearClause you saw an Idaho team who traveled to Cal with only 1 Outside (Larsen). Idaho had their 3rd middle (Taylor) playing the OH2. Last weekend at Davis the Vandals played much better beating U of San Francisco and Davis. The game tonight should be pretty good, it's opening weekend for WAC. Can't wait to see how the season turns out for all the WAC teams.
