What do you guys think about the Flyers? Is there 21-0 record just smoke and mirrors? They have defeated some good teams such as Purdue, Illinois, Utah to name a few. I think they are a good team but to be ranked #12 in the country with a suspect conference really begs the question. Still we have to tip our hats to Coach Hortsman. He is a winner where ever he goes. Don't see him much longer at UD unless they give him Fort Knox. Thoughts? ESTRELLA

Do we have to go through this AGAIN? I mean, it seems like we just had this discussion yesterday.

They might lose an A-10 match, or come close, but we won't know anything until the tourney.

Western Kentucky's win over Middle Tennessee is another boost for Dayton. They swept the Toppers Female.

Now the big question what happens if they go undefeated till the end of the and lose in tournament. Do you think they will get a bid at large even when they are in the top #15? ESTRELLA

Do you think they will get a bid at large even when they are in the top #15? ESTRELLA That is a valid concern. That remains to be seen, as this could be another Eastern Washington incident. However, I was looking at the RKPI today and 48 (Villanova) is the cut off if the NCAA committee were strictly using that to determine who is the in tournament. Dayton has wins over Western Kentucky, Utah, Illinios, and Purdue who all have an RKPI under 48, meaning they beat teams that would also be included in the NCAA tournament. So, I don't think it excludes them. However, we need to see how these other teams hold up against their competition. If these teams do not hold their rating, it makes it much more difficult for Dayton to make it into the tournament should they lose in their conference tournament.

I give huge props to Tim and his program. They have beaten everyone that has been put in front of them. That is difficult no matter what the competition is. However, let this be a lesson to all programs who strive to be recognized among the elite 10-15 programs. You have to play the Stanfords, Penn State's, Nebraska's and USC's of the world if you want to be recognized for being more than 21-0 against low-mid level competition. I give Geoff credit at Ohio, he went out and scheduled some of these teams, however a 28-3 at the end of the year will be more impressive than a 31-0 from someone who hasn't played a top 20 team all year. Go Flyers

Xavier, also in A-10, has some big wins also, don't they? And St. Louis? Would help out the Dayton resume to beat those teams. I think they play Xavier this weekend.
