So the Big Ten is officially at its half way point. How does everyone feel about the results? Is it what they expect and what do you think it will pan out for the rest of the regular season.
1. Penn State 10-0 2. Wisconsin 9-1 3. Purdue 6-4 4. Indiana 5-5 Michigan 5-5 Minnesota 5-5 7. Illinois 4-6 MSU 4-6 9. Northwestern 3-7 tOSU 3-7 11. Iowa 1-9
I would have to say I am really impressed with Indiana being in the middle of the pack with a fairly young team and a new coach. I know some injuries have plagued some teams but some teams are still competing with nothing to lose. PSU can breathe a little bit easier but the second half will not be as easy for any team.
This is definitely a different, yet exciting, year in the Big Ten. I am sure there will be more surprises.

Hell, no, it's not what I expected.

I would be much happier if Indiana had at least one more loss. I mean, we would all be just as surprised and impressed if they were 4-6 instead of 5-5, right?

I am not too surprised with one, two, and eleven. Other than that, this year is probably what made crazyvbfan crazy.

A few questions:
Can Indiana keep up their solid start or will they fall back out of the middle?
Will Penn State lose?
Can Ohio State make something out of this season?
Who will be Iowa's second win?
Who emerges from the logjam that is fourth place?

I also expect 1 and 2 and maybe 11 But the rest including the "log jam" is crazy. Looks like a blood bath for 3rd and 4th. I am not too surprised with one, two, and eleven. Other than that, this year is probably what made crazyvbfan crazy. i was crazy prior to this season LOL

To answer your questions College Boy:
Indiana will go no better than 2-8 in the second half;
Yes, after the performance at Huff, PSU will lose.
OSU will make something out of this season, but will not dance.
Iowa's second win? When do they play Minnesota again?
And bucky, Purdue is in 3rd, my Spartans will come out 4th.

Don't count on Illinois losing one the road where they're 4-1. It's at home where they're an awful 0-5.

I have a feeling that Michigan and Indiana will drop a little in the second half. I was shocked to see Purdue at third place. They have gotten there very quietly. I haven't really been following them and I thought they were a lot lower this year.

PSU will end up 20-0 in conference. Wisconsin 18-2 but will have a tough time at Purdue, Illinois will lose to PSU and Wisconsin 3-0. Big incentive for PSU to finish strong in Conference play as they are both hosting regionals.

The most exciting aspect of this conference is who gets 3rd place? I thought Minnesota or Michigan, but they've been losing quite a bit.

More questions:
Is second place a complete lock?
If so, who will get third place?

I don't see anyone challenging PSU and UW for the top two. I would guess Purdue for third but the way the B10 is going it might be Iowa.

More questions: Is second place a complete lock? If so, who will get third place? I don't think second is a complete lock, but right now there are no other teams competing at the Lion's or the Badger's level. Third is completely up for grabs.
