Lokomotiv 3 -2 İgtisadchı (25-23, 19-25, 25-27, 25-23, 17-15) Lokomotiv (Spicer, Miyashiro) upset Igtisadchi (Metcalf) with a win in 5 sets Match StatisticsThis match didn't go the way I thought it would, but good on Lokomotiv to get the win. So when did Ramirez move to this team? I could've swarn that she was just on a team from Brasil a few weeks ago. Can anybody explain? Tiebreak video:

Wait - so in the Puerto Rican league, playoff teams can just grab players off of teams that didn't qualify? Is there some sort of procedure or order, like a waiver wire in U.S. pro sports? Seems, well, more than a little bush league. Kidder was off of contract (Since her team's season was over) and any team that had a slot for a foreigner available was free to bid on her. Similarly, as European pro seasons end, you'll see others get picked up (such as Van Orden by Catano or Alisha Glass getting picked up by Mayaguez when her team folded). I'm not sure when the transfer deadline is, but everything is fair game before then. It's really unstable for foreigners in PR. They get fired pretty easily. F.ex. Alex Jupiter had to go home to make way for Kidder. Interesting. Thanks. Kinda the Wild West when it comes to transfers.

Ok, so I know this is late, but Azerbaijan volleyball league is kind of random. Any info about its stability? origins?
How do these players adjust to life in Azerbaijan? Are all these teams based in Baku?
I find it odd that leagues in the USA cannot get the $ and some teams in Italy are losing funds, yet Azerbaijan can field some of the best players in the World.

playoffs have arrived in Puerto Rico, and it looks like Rachael Kidder will be joining Tabi Love once again on Caguas de Criollas since her team didn't make it to playoffs. UCLA FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT Wait - so in the Puerto Rican league, playoff teams can just grab players off of teams that didn't qualify? It's fun to watch the contrast of stoic Pavan with the very expressive Brazilian players.

Unilever won the superliga by defeating Sollys in five.
What a disappointing season for Tom. She hasn't been on the active roster since that injury in February.

Kinda the Wild West when it comes to transfers. like how Alaina Bergsma got "fired" from Criollas de Caguas literally a week into the season. Good thing mets de guaynabo picked her up or else she'd be screwed

I find it odd that Logan didn't participate in the awards ceremony. I understand she was injured and didn't play but she was still a part of the team. Perhaps she declined because she hadn't played in the playoffs.
