Thanks netset. The new version changed some of my other privacy settings as well.
And thanks to paloalto for educating me about the font change.

In this new version of ProBoards is there a simple way to ensure that someone other than Niagara, Navy, Binghamton and Army get sent to State College for rounds 1 & 2?

Just like before, that's something you can toggle. Yeah, but the surgery is so expensive....

Get rid of the creepy default avatar by editing your profile and make your own avatar by customizing your own 'face'. Too bad there are so few 'mouth' options with a smile! You can pretend you're a police artist and create quite an entertaining avatar for yourself!

I don't want to make my own avatar. I don't want to display the default generic avatar. I don't want to display any avatar. I don't even want to see any avatars.
Sorry to sound like a crotchety old man, but the older I get the more natural that seems to be.

I just made an avatar, just because I didn't want to be an alien. For the record, it looks nothing like me (in more ways than one). My observation, all the skin tones are white. This is not an issue for me, but perhaps others.
All in all though, I agree with Mikegarrison. You should be able to remove the darn thing.

How do you load a photo v. avatar and how come no one posts their picture....Is anonymity a big thing on these boards? ALSO, what is difference in this "Quick Reply" box between the "Reply" in the top right and the "Post Quick Reply" in the bottom left?

Put the advance page function at the bottom of the page so we don't have to go back to the top to get to the next page. Fundamental.

Sorry to sound like a crotchety old man, but the older I get the more natural that seems to be. As I mentioned before, I completely agree with you. As a short-term workaround, it is possible, as I have done, to select "Use only the Uploaded/Linked" in the avatar settings but not upload or link anything. This choice will get you the text "[username] Avatar" instead of the default image.

Also, adding the number of thread pages with arrows to navigate back and forward through the thread the bottom as well as at the top of the page.

I dig the bar that scrolls with you that allows you to jump to a particular page in the thread. I do with clicking on the thread would bring me to the last page of said thread or that there was a setting to define that behavior. For those of you that are annoyed by the lack of top od page button, the "HOME" button on your keyboard does the trick. If you are on an iPad touching the top of the browser winder has the same effect. Looks sharp though.
