How do you feel about the non conference schedule? You think Texas can go undefeated? No, don't think so and I hope not. Team will need some adversity before conference play.
Unlike most fans of Texas Volleyball, I think next season will be a mini-rebuilding season. Too many questions at setter, OH (replacing Webster) and libero. Hopefully, it all breaks well as the season progresses.
I love the Florida game being scheduled before post season begins. Should tell us about the Texas program. I agree it will be rebuilding, BUT, compared to the other top schools, Texas won't be rebuilding as much. This just shows how strong this past class was. So many top teams lost their star athletes. One of the best classes in recent memory IMO.

I like that we are playing Florida twice; brings back memories of the 1990's.
Don't like playing against those international travelling squads; doesn't count for SOS or RPI.

How is Texas rebuilding? The only person they lost was Webster. Allison split time with Collins almost all season. Palmer is replaceable.

That and a 5'7" hitter tooling Chiaka on the RS all night. Collins was quickly benched after subbing for Allison in game 2 because she was being exploited because of her lack of size playing the front row.
Or because they just took Allison out to clear her head for a little and were going to put her back in no matter what in the third set.

A very strange non-conference schedule. Only one match between August 31 and September 11.

I really miss having the Nike Big 4 Tournament on the schedule. I'm disappointed in The New Mexico tournament...it looks pretty weak, but at least Sara will be able to play in front of her family and friends. I'm excited for the Nebraska, Florida, and Arizona matches. Hopefully, the Chinese Club team is an actual club team that can challenge them instead of some development Juniors team....

I saw on twitter hat sierra patrick from texas a&m is transferring to texas...anyone know if she'll be joining the volleyball team? Interesting. She's very athletic and has good vertical, but may be a bit undersized to be a consistent OH for Texas.
But one of my favorite local players when she played for Lake Travis with Beals and Neal.
If she is transferring to Texas, maybe she will join the track team.

I saw on twitter hat sierra patrick from texas a&m is transferring to texas...anyone know if she'll be joining the volleyball team? I believe she was on a full scholarship for volleyball. If she transfers strictly for T&F (high jump), would be on a partial 'ship most likely. Not sure she even competed in the high jump in 2014; thought I recall some injury issues toward the end of the 2013 volleyball season. Perhaps that resulted in her redshirting this semester.

I think she is transferring for track. If she does volleyball doesn't the scholarship have to count towards vb rather than track due to NCAA pecking order? Great hops and interesting to see what happens to Aggie VB ?
