What is going on with that program? First star setter quit in middle of last season citing mental cruelty. Several other top players quit that year as well. This year two top players transfer. Roxanne McVey to louisville and kimmy gardiner to Oklahoma. Taylor Scott has also quit the team as has their 2013 starting setter. Who is protecting this coaches job and why? I can hear the jenny hazelwood broken record now. "We are a young team". No wonder you are a young team Coach Hazelwood, you run all your girls off!

Your username total has got to be approaching double digits.
I'm sure Mississippi St. just doesn't feel like firing an alum and going through the arduous search process just to hire another coach who will finish in last place every year.

If you have just one post to your name. AND you are on here to trash a coach or a program, we need some bona fides: - Is your daughter on the team?
- Was your daughter run off the team?
- Are you a disgruntled former player?
- Are you a disgruntled present player?
- Did you play somewhere else for this coach and had a terrible experience?
- Did you apply for this job earlier and still bitter about not having gotten this job?
- How many other aliases do you have on this board? We can check this one.

Until this thread, I didn't even know that Mississippi State had a volleyball team.

The bio uses the term "All-State titles" not "State titles".

Mississippi State is in a tough conference and, well, let's face it, there will always be teams populating those bottom two or three spots in every conference. Having done a fair amount of time in Mississippi (not prison, just living there) and passing through Starkville a few times, I doubt that the coach is the biggest problem there. I like the campus when it's cool outside, but it's gotta be a tough place to recruit into. There's nothing particularly wrong with it; I just don't think it's going to ever attract many blue chip players compared to most of the other SEC towns. I think Candlelight is correct in suggesting that not all bottom and near-bottom conference teams automatically need new coaches. I think we can all think some schools that will nearly always be weak just because of the school itself, its location, the support level of the athletic department, etc.

Mississippi State is in a tough conference ..... That's where I stopped reading your post. If you don't think the SEC is one of the toughest 6 athletic conferences in the ncaa, then you're just flat out wrong. Just because it isn't the Big 10 doesn't mean it isn't tough compared to the rest of the country.

It's not one of the big two, but I'd much rather watch Florida and Kentucky go at it than two MAAC teams. Let's be real here
