They've seeded Phil and Rosie 6th. Seems like they're not using FIVB results. On the other hand, Phil and Rosie did skip Salt Lake City, anyone know if that was due to injury?

I don't think those are wild cards. I think it is because for the first time this year there is a difference in points used to determine main draw versus qualifier (determined I think 9 days before event and therefore does not include SLC results) and points used to determine seed (determined maybe 2 days before event starts). So there are teams in the main draw that could be seeded lower than a couple teams in the qualifier assuming they advance to the main draw.

Not a single "old-timer" entered to give it a shot? Thought for sure we would see Fro/Ack, or someone like that, giving it a try!!! By the way, we are staying at the Crimson Hotel - how is it? And does Mike Dodd still own Fonz's? Been telling the wife about it for years, and she is finally coming with me (all the way from Indiana - ha!) to check it out! Are you going to take your wife to the Worlds's Smallest In-n-Out? ;-) See you in MB.

Hey Volleyshots!!! You going to be there? We'll have to do dinner if you are - I'll find you - we arrive tomorrow morning and are staying at the Crimson - where are you staying? That In-n-Out was da bomb! Especially getting asked for one of our extra burgers by that other "patron!!!"

Awesome. He has to have played the most Manhattans of anyone (assuming you count qualifiers). Since it's called an Open, I think you get to count the qualifiers. Amazing he's still playing at his age. Here's a pic of him in '77 or '78 against OB and Hooper. View AttachmentSomeone posted on twitter, 37th MO that Kevin has played in.

There is a picture from the first round match that Clary/Tourigny lost that serves as sort of a time capsule for how the game has changed.
I couldnt figure out how to attach it, but its remarkable for the size difference between the players. Pete, who has also played a little AVP in his day, and Kevin both at or under 6'1 and the opponents, both look to be around 6'6 or so

Some scores and pics of the updated brackets are nice.
